Timeline for production. Retooling is ongoing in a vacant area of OAC. Major retooling scheduled for an extended christmas break this year. MKX production is to be quite far(6months approx) behind EDGE due to sheetmetal and styling differences. So edge production to start in early spring 2014

Merritt was supposedly going for 3 mths. Then returning to take over top spot at OAC. now that Dan is there he may be back earlier

having not seen the vehicle, were the paint defects(staining) limited to specific areas? my thought,if the vehicle was build from June forward,could be ecoat drips. can be removed with solvent.if u need to know how i know this you'll have to pm me

having just finished our build of 50 flex here in oakville. the overwelming resposne is wow. this vehicle is actualy drop dead gorgeous.when we origionally had a few bodies come through for testing most people thought to big to ugly etc.. seeing them done in all the colour combinations and loaded,this vehicle is beautiful.

sorry trim but paint and body especially paint cant keep up with trim shift for shift. thats why the extra shift is needed. every week paint or body is on its knees and the srs is drastically depleted. its the extra shift coming in that saves them. when paint has a problem it doesnt hiccup, it pukes,real bad.

It does NOT have suicide doors.I work at oac paint and we have some of the bodys here. no suicide doors!

there are 3 bodys here. they were shipped up. ran one through last nite. didnt paint it, just a run through the system.barely fit in the elevator. its a big ass vehicle.kinda like a down size hummer

we have some "fairlane" bodys in the paint shop at OAC and i can assure you those are not the spy photos of this vehicle. the bodys we have are true to the original concept.

There is a fairlane body in the paint shop lower level . looks just like the concept

All i can say is what a vehicle!! ...............flagged do not drive by dealer for 2 weeks waiting for ABS sensor Driver seat bolster leather split and cracked after 6 months Box sagged by over 1.5 inches from driver side to passengerside,Assembly issue? drive shaft replaced water leak passenger side cowl Left front speaker replaced My dealer was shocked by the problems i had. He said it was the first time they ever had a vehicle in for service that wasnt from oakville.

Paint area manager was fired. (Steve Struger).Got caught hiding funds. Brought in Tim Tichler(SP) from ST thomas.

Anyone know how to go about getting back the ei clawback. I'm off this week so dont have a rep at my disposal.

A shift paint off next 3 weeks. We were asked for voluntary days the week of the 3rd. B shift would work in new paint(otp), A shift would finish up old paint(oap). It was a voluntary canvass.

I'm not surprised by the low yes vote from skilled trades. After all There was no offer by Ford of unlimited overtime, free newspapers,pillows and blankets or crying towels!!! :happy feet:

BTW next week is a blackout week.
