  2. I didn't want to let you guys know about my Honda because I traded in my Mazda3 (Ford), for the Honda. Before the Mazda3 I had a Contour, and before that a Taurus and and before that a Cougar. I guess I deserve the bad luck with the Honda for trading in my Mazda for it, when my Mazda was a good car. I also didn't think it would make a difference if my Civic was made in Canada, Japan or Ohio. Unlucky me, I picked the black one which was made in Canada. I started to read more about the car after the fact and it turns out the Civics coming out of Canada are shit compared to the Japanese and Ohio made ones.
  3. I'm sorry but probably going to get looked down upon for letting you guys know this, but my 06 Civic EX sedan is a rattle trap and I've had it less than a month. Check out my website. http://www.mycivicsucks.com. I traded in the Mazda3 for the Civic because of it's better gas mileage but I've had nothing but problems with the Civic since I've bought it. I guess I deserve it.
  4. It seems the 06 Civic Coupe is experiencing unkown suspension problems that Honda does not know how to fix. The problems afflicts some Civic coupes. It causes them to feel unstable on the highway and require constant steering corrections. Here is a link to a threat on 8thcivic.com and another from Temple of VTEC: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6296 http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-message?message_id=559742
  5. I just read the $15k Cheap Skates article in May's Car and Driver and find myself strangely attracted to the Honda Fit. It seems the perfect kind of car for our time with the continued rising of gas prices. It also seems very versatile. I wish Ford or Mazda offered something like that here that gets just as good gas mileage, I'd get one. I'm not sure if the fit will sell well, though, because of it's quirky proportions.
  6. I'm glad that the Ridgeline got truck of the year and it's having all these problems. Shocks. Now airbags. For anyone paying attention, it shows how dumb the press is to give this thing truck of the year.
  7. I'm going to say it again... WE NEED THE MAZDASPEED3 NOW!!! Later this year Honda is going to introduce the Honda Civic Si sedan. I'm sure it's gonna appeal to a much larger audience than the coupe since a car is more functional with 4 doors.
  8. I noticed on all the forums I visit everyday (Mazda3forums, BlueOvalNews, AnandTech, FatWallet) there are alot of opinionated people that like to debate. That's probably one of the funnest parts of participating in a forum. So I've created a forum where the opinionated can debate and flame each other. Check it out and register there if you have time. The 1st 20 people will have a special rank called "Founding Member". Thanks, Chris http://flamewars.kicks-ass.net
  9. The place I bought my Mazda 3 is a Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda dealer, Long Beach Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda. And, NLPRacing, the only reason I seen this post was because you linked to it from "School of Free Thought".
  10. Damn, that's why Mazda needs to come out with the MazdaSpeed3 now. I think it's dumb to create a high performance variant of a car only after interest starts to fade in the regular model. People who will spend the extra money on the high performance models probably aren't looking at their regular counterparts, so why wait? When Honda introduced the 2006 Civic they introduced the Si version at the same time. If Mazda released the MazdaSpeed3 now, I'm sure they would steal sales away from the 2006 Civic Si and its Civic Si loyalists.
  11. Someone at Ford needs to be shot for creating that grill. The gauges are also FUGLY. I have to say that I LOVE the new headlights, though.
  12. Ovaltine & Drodmotors, I don't know if you can see it or not in the photos but they come out further than the door itself and the roof & pillar. In the photo it is the black line between the door and the roof & pillar. 05Stang, Maybe Ford has corrected the problems on the Fusions you saw. The Zephyrs that I looked at all had the flaw. I was at Long Beach Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda having my 3 serviced when I took the pics. I made my post in this thread because it was pre-existing and dealt with the same issue.
  13. I like Mustang_Marty's idea. From his I thought of BlueBoxNews. It sounds better than square but it isn't as accurate because a box is 3d and a square is 2d.
  14. The exterior is horrible. The beltline is too high and the top half of car, the green house, looks to small compared to the bottom half of the car which makes the whole car look clunky. As for the interior, I have to agree with the Borg.
  15. 05Stang, Actually, no, I'm not going to go buy a Kia. I'm pointing out two flaws that can be easily addressed on a $20k car without too much effort. I'm sure there are some Ford officials lurking the boards that can adress these issues. If everyone were to turn a blind eye to these things they would never be fixed. I wouldn't be helping Ford by keeping quiet. Ford needs to win over people that haven't considered Ford for awhile and I'm sure those people would be more dicerning of Ford products than me. I'm not going to go to Honda or Toyota dealership because I don't care about the quality or reliability of either. I care about Ford. Ford has been my favorite car company since I was 19 and bought my first new car, a 1999 Mercury Cougar. I know right now I have a Mazda but it was the only way to get a C1 car in 2004. I still can't get a C1 Focus living in North America. You can go ahead and take some pics of Toyota and Honda flaws but don't post them here. It won't help Ford. Go post them on a Honda or Toyota forum and enlighten some people there.
  16. These pics are all from Zephyrs. All 5 Zephyrs on the lot had the same problems. Notice the protruding door gaskets and fenders. I snapped this pics with my phone when my car was in for service.
  17. I wish the Fusion would have been made here in the US instead of Mexico. I can see why, maybe, stuff made in Korea has better fit and finish than something made in Mexico. I'm basing my opinion on experiences that I've had with electronics. We used to be a Sony family. Sony quality used to be good but it's crap lately and now mostly made in Mexico. Three of our sony TVs and two VCRs mess'd up. After that we started buying Samsung instead. All the Samsung stuff we've gotten is made in Korea and we haven't had any problems. Rank of places I'd want stuff that I buy to be made, based on my perception of which countries produce quality products, 1 being preferred, 4 not being preferred: 1. US/Canada/Japan 2. Korea 3. Mexico 4. China Once again, it's just my opinion.
  18. OP I've noticed the protruding gaskets problems too. The same place you've described.
