  1. What plant assembles the diesel used in the Super Duty?
  2. I agree this contract sucks, but keep this in mind. Voting NO does NOT remove any of the UAW bargaining team, AND if this contract is not ratified, you will have the same incompetent knuckleheads negotiating for us again. We have seen what they have done so far ( 2 modifications and this contract), do you honestly expect them to become good bargainers over night and get us the contract we truly deserve? Just food for thought.

  4. Thanks. I thought they should be out by now, but I couldnt get a listing for them on the AXZ sight.
  5. When does 2012 Focus production start, or when can we expect to see some on dealer lots?

  7. I heard that didn't really work. Thats what I heard anyway.
  8. Dealer is only allowed to tack on a $75 doc. fee, or something like that.
  9. KCAP suv is scheduled to go back to 5 days a week 9hrs. Jan. 5. Supposed to work our way back to 50hrs. per week by middle of Feb. and have a Saturday scheduled for March.
  10. It was never a matter of HOW MANY trucks we needed. It was a matter of how many trucks we needed NOW! Keep in mind that KCAP gained zero production numbers on the SUV side by adding a third shift. Moving the truck 2nd shift to SUV did three things. 1. Cut truck production in half. 2. Kept UAW workers from collecting SUB or even GEN. (JSP) Which hid "extra" manpower from shareholders and congress. 3. Showed how "Flexible" the KCAP workforce and assembly plant could be. Another effect of the shift move from truck to SUV was the elimination of relief routes in the production areas as well as the elimination of overtime. With these two eliminations brought many voluntary job terminations(buy outs) to KCAP. All in all this was a win-win move for the company and the union. Laid-off Ford workers are now being offered jobs at KCAP to fill the void created by buyouts. This whole move had little to do with overall truck production, and more to do with "right sizing" the national labor pool, and giving the appearence that Ford production is meeting, not exceding customer demand.
  11. This should be on the desk of every republican in Washington!!! http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081222/as_japan_toyota.html
  12. It looks as of now, that SUV production will be haulted Dec. 20 through Jan 10. This is always "subject to change!" Wish we could get our vehicles to waiting customers faster. Thanks for being patient!
  13. As of right now, KCAP SUV is scheduled down the week of November 17.
  14. We build Aprox. 14 hybrids per hour, all of the time. We have three shifts a week, each working 40 hours per week. With line stoppage for breaks we produce roughly 1500 Hybrid Escapes a week.
  15. I work SUV trim at KCAP. I was told last week by our product specialist the "target" date is June 23rd.
