  1. I am trying to gather some information about build information on the last few model years of Town Cars and Grand Marquis. Specifically looking for the order guides for the 2008-2011 Grand Marquis and Town Car. Luckily, ice-capades has posted the Crown Victoria ones, thanks for that. If any of you have the PDFs of them would you mind sharing them here or by message? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you and Happy New Year. -Nick
  2. Control arms will probably run you $50 per side for parts only if you buy them on your own from the Part store. Labor is probably 1.5-2 hours. Either the ball joints or the bushings that are inboard that clamp onto the subframe are probably due for replacement. The strut rod bushing is also known to wear out.
  3. There's the blend door actuator and the blower motor resistor. Those are the only two items i know of that are "e-z" fixes, but it is highly unlikely since you can get AC OK and the fan speeds are good. The heater core may be clogged from rust if the cooling system was never flushed. Cast iron engine makes this a necessary maintenance item every 2-3 years. You could try flushing and back flushing the cooling system. Search Google for the clinton flush on the taurus club website.
  4. If this is something that can be disabled via IDS/VCM...what about on the flipside, can this be activated as well?
  5. I see the MFS got split off into two stalks. Interesting. I wonder if the plastic filler would look better painted? Probably too much trouble. That interior looks fantastic!
  6. Here's a small glimpse at the red one I grabbed a pic of in Jan 2008: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/beachbum86/TCCA/DetroitPgh%201-08/NAIASPGH114.jpg But that was from Jan 2008 and the window appears to be cracked. Must smell nice and musty inside...
  7. I love the S on the other side of the car, like they forgot some other letters. Looks lonely with a single letter. It'd have been better to just leave it off, like they did on the Gen 1 Fusion 'S' models.
  8. silver 2000 Ford Taurus SEL w/Duratec 24V--135,000 miles.
  9. He auctioned that car off awhile back. He drives a Cadillac DTS now.
  10. For driver's ed, I was stuck in this terrible 03 Chevrolet Malibu. I took my driver's test in a 2000 Honda Accord. It's a real exciting vehicle to drive :boring: I got taught on that Honda and a 95 LeSabre...equally exciting.
  11. The Lincoln Continental had a FWD InTech V8 introduced in late 94 as a 95 model. Gen 3 SHO didn't show up till the 2nd quarter of 1996 (April if I remember correctly). Here are some high res shots over at the Taurus club: http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?...1969&st=175
  12. FWD seems plenty quick for a Taurus: http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Taurus-Timeslip-13193.html
  13. That was in the LA Times? Wow. Surprising positive review from them, although it didn't say much about the car. 1/2 of it is about the nameplate rescue.
  14. http://www.taurusclub.com/encyclopedia/G3/glowlogo.jpg They also deleted that after 96.
