  2. I'm guessing it's in that contract book the union passed out last week.
  3. You mean we should keep talking about rumors and bullshit? Because that's all I see on this board...
  4. I believe the original poster meant 300 million for MTP's bodyshop addition. What was done at MTP cost a hell of a lot more than $300,000.
  5. Anyone have their contract book that was passed out this past week? I left mine at work.
  6. It's the 2nd Sunday of the month. Isn't that when we always have union meetings?
  7. I've heard the same thing. Word is the Explorer will be phased out and replaced with a new mid size SUV.
  8. Just got word that MTP will be laid off next week. :titanic:
  9. PM sent. I've heard many rumors lately. Let's see what you've got.
  10. In the Body Shop, we're running around 150 units per day.
  11. How soon after you turned in the vehicle did you get the bill?
  12. Not until they decide to cut a shift.
  13. Download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat. MTP is currently running like this. Like Fields said, "Change or Die".
  14. Funny, WAP just started a 10 hour a day schedule yesterday.
  15. There will be 200 more buyouts in the coming weeks for non-skilled hourly employees.
  16. A contact of mine on day shift said that it was due to "quality issues" and that there will probably be a 4 hour day again tomorrow, then who knows after that.
  17. Ya gotta love the MTP body shop. When it get really humid, the plant floor sweats, so the floor get very slippery and becomes a safety hazard. So what does the company do to combat the humidity? Turn on the heat, of course!
  18. I actually agree. GEN has to go, and I bet it will be voted out in 07.
  19. Last Monday at MTP we started running the 07 Expeditions and Navigators. We had a meeting at the beginning of the shift in the bodyshop. Management said, "Quality is our #1 concern. We want people to learn their jobs and learn what to look for to ensure the trucks that go to the customer are 100% perfect. We will be running the trucks spread far apart, and only 50 units per day. And if we don't even hit 50 units, who cares. It's all about quality". On Monday, we ran between 40-45 units. Tuesday, is was almost 100. Wednesday, after losing about 1.5 hours due to a plant meeting, we ran about 120 units. Thursday and Friday we ran around 150 units. Many times trucks were right on top of each other coming down the line. By Friday, "business as usual" took over. I'm sure nobody was surprised. All we can do is sit back and watch the bleeding...
  20. Shhhhh... The anti-union media doesn't want anybody to know about that!
  21. I was at the night shift body shop meeting yesterday and there was no mention of going to 1 shift.
  22. You work 8 hours, you get paid 8 hours. What's the problem?
  23. I believe MTP has been on 2 shifts as long as it has because Ford has plans for additional vehicles there. Some version of the F-150 would be the most logical.
