  1. The UAW is busy gambling away our dues in Vegas to be watching this.
  2. Don't you have a plane to catch? Oh, and put my last month's dues on red and let it ride.
  3. *Pops a Prozac, washes it down with a 40oz of Colt 45*
  4. The law and freedoms have nothing to do with the workplace. Today, if Ford announced that no non-Ford vehicles could be parked on their lots, and any non-Ford would be towed, there's not a damn thing anyone could say about it. You have the right to work anywhere you want, and if you don't like the rules, quit. Why can't people realize that when you're buying from the competition you're cutting your own throat? Are UAW members as stupid as the public think they are?
  5. How does buying the competition's vehicles save our jobs?
  6. Word around here is that MTP will get Norfolk's F-150 Production. Rumors only, of course.
  7. We didn't get our raise last September that was supposedly "set in stone"...
  8. MTP's union leadership bent over last year and allowed the company to combine the electrician and gunny classifications. It's still weird to see an electrician shut down the line to change a weld tip...
  9. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../603020374/1148 Yeah, Ford was right. Labor costs are hurting the company.
  10. I am thankful. However, as long as the contract states I'm to get it, and the UAW is taking dues out of my check, I WILL expect it.
  11. I've noticed the checks are coming later and later.
  12. "Buy what you build". If you don't buy a Ford, you're slitting your own throat. There has been enough bloodshed after "Blue Monday".. don't be a contributing factor for more job cuts.
  13. "Visteon's directors agreed to increase bonuses to executives that range between 50% and 130% of their base salary. In addition they approved larger long-term incentive awards that range between 120% to 475% of their base salaries." And the hourly employees got how much of a raise? That's right, zero. And this year when the company is losing more money, of course it will be the fault of the hourly employees. After all, they make too much money and their benefits are too costly.
  14. I just drove by the Local 900 sign. It now says, "MTP will be working the week of 2-13".
  15. Good 'ole MTP. Like always, management can't keep their story straight.
