  1. Stop playing the victim? OMG! Where did you learn that? OMG! I am a victim because I like wagons.
  2. If others, like me, understand that the body style is not popular, that is one thing. Some of the commentary regarding it is another thing. There are people who like wagons. Whether you and your sales associates have come to the conclusion that it's a closed case, does not take away that there are a few of us who still like wagons. Some of the remarks are interesting...
  3. Honestly akirby, every wagon post here gets your knickers in a knot. It's almost like clockwork.
  4. I like wagons. I will always like wagons. The name "wagon" doesn't offend me. I don't care what others think. I learned to drive with a wagon and the first new car I bought for myself was a wagon.
  5. Congratulations! The Sky and Solstice were kind of cool. If they are like the Miata I couldn't even fit in one. I checked around to see what they are charging for these up here in Canada and it's roughly between $16k to $18k.
  6. Escalade - GM is considering a 1.2 blliion expansion to the plant to meet demand for the trucks built there. http://bizbeatblog.dallasnews.com/2015/04/barra-and-gm-board-visit-arlington-plant.html/
  7. Sorry - I missed the original posting. Why would they spend money on improvements for a car that sells as slowly as this one and is going to be axed - probably sooner than later?
  8. I've read a couple of reports in the last few weeks that the ELR will be axed. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/04/cadillac-elr-to-be-axed.html
  9. I asked my Honda dealer - they said it will be arriving in November.
  10. I didn't know that. I left out that it was really unattractive - like a cross between a suppository and what a 70's Chevy Monza would have looked like if they had built a 4-door hatchback. The over-sized grill on the front also didn't help.
  11. I love wagons. I checked out the Crosstour when it first arrived and it didn't have near the practicality of a wagon. The cargo area was cramped and the weird Prius/Aztek/Volt hatch window was useless for visibility. The price was also far too high compared to equivalent models.
  12. Can someone please explain what exactly JdN did with Audi North America? Was he a key influence in their recovery or was he associated with a brand that was already recovering?
  13. Maybe GM and Cadillac should get on the same page before speaking to the public? It's getting to point where so much is being said that it's hard to grasp where exactly Cadillac is headed. In any organization where this kind of confusion is going on the first thing is to look at the top. Why are they allowing this to happen?
  14. Isn't "about to" still at least 2 to 3 years away?
  15. Interesting April 1st joke. http://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/photoshop/future-classic-gm-to-revive-aztek-as-a-cadillac-2/
  16. Yeah - I screwed up. Thing is it was posted before April 1st and I didn't pay attention enough to think otherwise.
  17. Wow, that's like 50 shades of gray in one car alone.
  18. It's better than the current model. Thing is - when statements like "passionate design" hit the media months before you reveal the car, you're kind of setting up a lot of expectations. I don't think this looks like a "passionate design" anymore than some of it's other mid-size competitors. I still think the Chrysler 200 looks much better.
  19. Here it is: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/03/31/2016-cadillac-ct6-official-photos-new-york/ I love the dashboard - very nice!
  20. Speaking of Peter D., he's announced that this week will be his last posting on autoextremist.com. I don't always agree with him, but I do read his website every week.
  21. The more I look at it, the more I like it. To echo what has already been stated, I hope they don't screw up the production version. The color is really nice. The interior color is beautiful. One thing that probably won't make production is the 4-seat configuration. It looks amazing and very comfortable, but it's harder to sell a 4-seat full-size car than a 5-seat version. Perhaps the 4-seat configuration will be available as an option. Here's an interesting article about how the designers became more inspired when they applied the Continental name to the project. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/03/30/how-the-lincoln-continental-concept-almost-wasnt/ I'm seeing a number of comments on the web praising bringing back the Continental name. I think people are tired of cars identified with numbers/letters.
  22. When the Ecoboost engines were announced they were originally called TwinForce. I thought it was an excellent name. I wish Lincoln had kept the name for itself no matter how much the engine is borrowed from the Ecoboost. Maybe there is still time before this car is released.
