  1. cool, i guess those 3-5k incentives i see on every single GM vehicle in the lot is working.. way to go GM! p.s. they still build crap honestly.. nothing has changed, they just go a free reset button to continue being totally lost on what they make and sell..
  2. I think the government was waiting, to see if the stock would jump up after the ipo.. but along with the political issues they have, they also realize GM is building nothing that awes buyers, and that the stock will only go down from here, so they may also be thinking of takign loses as they are and move on, it would even be worse for them, if say they wait a bit more, and it just drops like a rock (which is will for sure) and lose anymore.
  3. anyone got stats on the Ford GT? it costs around the same as the vette and nissian, would be more of a match.. mustang is killed by the weight, i know the Gt was pretty light.
  4. if iam not mistaken the tracks they run on in that series seriously favor a lighter vehicle, hence more nimble etc...
  5. i watch all racing.. i like it all, so this argument is funny... different strokes for different folks, not going to argue which is better or not, i just have 1 comment on engines and tech.. nascar low tech? ya right.. you find me somewhere else, that can make a normal pushrod small block V8 make 900hp without any force induction, and make them run 500 miles on a track like atlanta or texas having the rpms hang around 9000k all day... now, ya, thats high tech dude.. these are pushrod engines, with alot of shit that can break. also, these cars at daytona and tall run about 350-400hp, and still can get to 200+ mph, ya, on banked tracks but thats still nuts... unrestricted they could be doing 230 plus.
  6. Congrats to James Courtney.. He got the V8 supercars championship.. that mut really chap Holdens ass, they got the man that has beat them the last few years from ford, and courtney comes along and upsets them.. way to go jim beaners!
  7. still slower than the little 412hp Mustang. gonna need 500+ HP to push that heavy beast to beat the GT.
  8. Carl Edwards won today, seems his prepped ford fusion get better gas mileage then the GMs, Dodges and yota.. good job Carl, he also won the nationwide race And John won his 15th with the ford 500 nitro engine with help from Bob Tascas Ford by beating Hagans overacheiving dodge. and Frosty wins in V8s! woot! good weekend for Ford Racing.
  9. Seems GM with Chevy wants to get into the IZOD indy cars to fight honda... seems Ganassi had a big plan to go to Ford in Nascar and Rolex... but GM\Chevy told him they will be going to IZOD in 2012, so ganassi will stay with GM and switch all his cars in each series to Chevy powered engines how does a bankrupt company keep adding stuff? lol.. wow.
  10. Nico on the Coswoth got the pole.. woot!
  11. pfft, their stupid shares should sell at or below what fords current share price is. no way anyone in their right mind would pay 28 bucks a share for a company that is still basically chicken little with no head. Thats a insanse thought... if it does sell for that much i will be amazed. its like rewarding them for spending a year or so under the governments wings to live.. while ford has worked hard and will be valued less.. pfffffft.
  12. its cool, 201 mph today from a pushrod v8 that has its hp cut in half.. rather impressive, even if its banked track.
  13. You know what, iam a true racing fan, you know why? i watch them all.. some people just pick at stuff and critize it because, well they are bored or something.. i watch my nascar for the bumping and rough and tumble fights.. i watch F1 for the pure nuts crazy speed, with Drag Racing, its the smell the the finality of it as, you get 1 shot if you lose your done for the week. austraila V8s, wrc, rolex these guys are nuts, thats just pure skill too me, its all fun. i like it all, each sport has its issues. nascar - races are too long on some tracks, same teams win over and over. F1 - sometimes the Qualifying series are more exciting and have a bigger part in deciding who wins that whats on track. i could go on and on, but each series has its coolness, and its crapness.. enjoy it all, thats what i do.
  14. eh, anyone know if there is like live webcasts or tv of the races over there? i tried signing up for their live cast but it doesnt give me option to choose my states etc?
