  1. Yes over 50 miles from plant to plant and you are eligible. Where you live makes no difference. Also, used to be you had to move to get the 45k moving allowance but now you do not have to move but you only get 30. Not sure if the 45k option still exists or not. Good Luck hope they move some trades soon as well I am tired of JSP.
  2. As far as I know ILO is usually volume related. The numbers I heard were 22 n ILO an 298 into the JSP program. I don't work at Livonia but I think I heard somewhere they have 2 different lines, One runs one shift and the other runs 2 shift2. I thought I heard they were flip flopping the production and the line going to 2 shifts takes less people. It was either that or they put in a new line that takes less people. Like I said I don't work there so I could be way off, you know how information gets lost in translation. Anyways original question ILO is usually associated with Volume.
  3. Relax, it is just a rumor with no fact behind it what so ever. Livonia will be laying people off very soon, so obviously they will not have to hire anyone off the street.
  4. Ok, Wakeup I apologize. However there are better ways to get your point across. Blue Oval Forums is nowhere near popular enough to make a difference, the difference is made on the floor. Run for office, be involved, ask questions at the meetings. The name calling on here does no good. Again I apologize for the comment I made about you and the buyout. I have issues with people who left still stirring shit up. If you are still an employee than by all means voice your opinion, I would just suggest a different route than always attacking. Suggest a solution and get the ball rolling.
  5. What appointment would that be I am at Maumee Jackass. As I said before if what you say is true the membership will deal with it accordingly. You only seem to come on here and belittle anyone who does not agree with you. If you really cared why not run for office instead of taking the buyout? It's very easy to sit on the sidelines and pass judgement on everyone else. Wait you took a buyout, your not even on the sidelines your just sitting in the crowd. You took the easy way out and now want to tell us what is wrong with VD. You took your buyout, you are no longer an employee!! Go on with your life but please. Don't go away Mad, Just go Away!!
  6. If you took a buyout, do us a favor and go away. The plant population will take care of the problem if there is one. Do you think they will vote him in again if any of this is true? I don't understand this hostility towards a place you no longer work at.
  7. 1 production Skilled trades, lets see, this is a close guess but not right on: Machine Repair-6 plus an apprentice Electrician 2 Apprentices M/W-2 T/D about 6 or 7 W/R -3 We have some others but they have been told they got a transfer with a tentative report date of Mid May
  8. That is what I have been trying to explain, but you know how some people get an idea. You just verified that my understanding was correct. I am just trying to keep some of the locals calm. Everyone is a little testy at Maumee including myself. Thanks again Level for the clarrification.
  9. Level, can you clear up a lingering question we have going on at Maumee for me/us? We had a Millwright go back to production and transfer to AAI I think. Allegedly he has or will be going back to his basic Unit, Wayne Assembly as a production worker. If Wayne Assembly has an opening for a Millwright down the line, where does said employee fall in the heirachy placement. It is my contention that he is a displaced journeyman just like the ones at Maumee and he would be placed in line with his seniority and not top of the list just becasue he is at the plant. Can you clarify this for a few of the folks at Maumee that are concerned? I know I sure could be wrong, but I am not sure and don't want a bad message getting around.
  10. Thank you for damaging my eyes. I think my retina's are now fried. MEDIC!!
  11. Sure if you want to risk 16k for a job. I hope people dig into the details before handing a check over to the new buyer. It's a damn shame when you have to pay for a job.
  12. Once again Level thanks for the clarification. I guess no system will be perfect. Using your example of a Pipe fitters needed at Ohio Assembly. In a perfect world, If they needed 4 pipefitters, but had 2 pipefitters in JSP at Walton Hills, they should only put up a posting for the 2 pipefitters they need from out of zone. By placing a posting that says 4 openings, when there really only 2 available just causes confusion. However that would probably make the entire process take even longer. So either way folks won't be happy. I think the best thing we can do is to keep the conversations going as these issues come up. Level and some others are doing a great job keeping information moving around. I know alot of the Reps take a beating on here, some deserve it some don't. I don't know for a fact Level is a International Rep, but I assume he is. And if he is, then he is doing us a great service with this information. Keep up the good work, it's good to know that people up north still care. Ok I forgot this is where I was for a second, I am suposed to bash the Union and Company on here. Level, you suck! You are a no good piece of :slug: Just kidding guy, thanks again.
  13. Maumee's sign was ainted over today as well. Depressing
  14. I certainly will do that Monday morning. It would not be the first time I have scanned over something and mis read it. Thanks again Level for all the help.
  15. Well in theory you should be correct. However most by-laws are in place to make sure that these meetings are attended as we all feel they should be. I am sure all locals have had people appointed into positions because of who they knew instead of how committed they were/are towards the Union. Most appointed reps are truly good people, however, a few bad apples can make the whole bunch seem rotten. They can be removed usually, but not easy to do. Need the chairman to put some pressure on them to attend and avoid the whole recall process if you can. Get the word out, make them accountable.
