  1. Unfortunately, all of what you are talking about at your plant is happening at about every other plant too, as far as cronyism, friends and family perks, etc. We need to clean house across the board and put union officials in office that have our best interests in mind instead of their own.
  2. This guy is a dumb ass. He's gotten way too much exposure already. Let him die.
  3. I've found that Ford Motor Credit is a lot harder to get financed with than a credit union. I'd go with that instead.
  4. Getting back our cost of living would be HUGE and better than any raise. Also, although a raise for the first tier workers is overdue and well-deserved, I think the priority for us is to bring the 2nd tier workers wages up closer to ours. If we don't do that, the 2nd tier workers won't have any incentive to protect our benefits when we're retired. Lets remember, it's them that will be voting on our benefits after we're retired, not us. They need to think about protecting their benefits (AND ours) when THEY retire instead of giving up retirees benefits for a couple dollars an hour because they don't make near as much. Just my opinion. The best scenario is getting rid of 2nd tier altogether, but we know that isn't going to happen.
  5. "We run the first Fusion through trim and final on Wednesday, and then we will train on it." That was posted by Deflep1 on another thread a couple days ago.
  6. Wow, I thought the General was back for a second.
  7. Hey Jerrymaker, why don't you just do your fucking job and quit hating on everyone else. You're obviously just jealous. Stop being a pussy and shut the fuck up. Saline will be at assembly plants soon enough, fucko, then they'll deal with your stupid mouth. Hahahahaha
  8. You fuckers love to hate on Saline. Funny shit! Hahahahaha
  9. That's not true. Plenty of the tradesmen have said they'd welcome brother and sister tradesmen at Saline. It might help get some of the contractors out of there.
  10. Didn't we vote down the mechanical work teams in the last modification attempt? Why are they in here now? I like how it says efficiencies will not result in the direct and IMMEDIATE layoff of mechanical trades. Notice it doesn't say that layoffs won't happen later down the road because of them. "When mechanical work teams are launched, team members will receive the negotiated wage rate (nonpersonalized) of the highest classification on the team. Skilled trades efficiencies achieved as a direct result of the implementation of mechanical work teams will not result in the direct and immediate layoff of mechanical trades."
  11. Because they're getting compensated for it?
  12. It seems to me that something has to be done to make things more equal between 1st and 2nd tier workers. If not, then our future retirement will be in jeopardy. The incentive for 2nd tier to give up retiree benefits in the future for increased pay/benefits for themselves while still working is too great. I believe we're going to fuck ourselves if we don't give them an incentive NOT to screw us to better themselves and their families.
