  1. Yea the only thing Bush forgot to do was get Bin Laden. That is kind of funny considering that is why the war started. But we all know Bush money was tied to Bin. The war was for Bush and his buds to make cash, and that they did my friend. Other than that what was accomplished except us losing many of or young soldiers. Do not get me wrong I was not against the war we have to stand up, but lets get real and take off the blinds. Where is Bin, the government can see you in your house having sex but cannot find Bin in a cave. Get real....... MONEY MONEY MONEY for the Pubbies.
  2. That letter has been out. Should have been posted throughout your plant.
  3. Yes this language has not changed but it must be initiated at the Local level as I sad in a previous post. 7/23 is work standards and outsourcing and H&S grievances. These are D1 status. Strikeable grievances if not resolved.
  4. First off that is the longest sentence I have ever seen! Secondly the retirees have gotten everything you and I have as benefits. Stay off of them, its that simple. This statement is not just for you but for all of the members on here discrediting what they have achieved. Take from them, what a joke. That is just Union wrong along with morally wrong. Wake up, you will be one of them eventually. Third I asked you once already and you failed to answer about the new hires taking over and over ruling us. I guess you need to open the contract and read it. They can only have 20% of the work force NATIONWIDE.The leadership would be fools if they did not put that provision in. They did, case closed. Do I like two-tier, no. But there is an old saying "it is what it is"! Lastly the membership which is all of "US" spoke loud and clear and voted this contract in. Again, it is what it is! Now for my opinion outside of your run on sentence. I think when the dust settles we will be alright. The UAW leadership we have is more than capable of handling this for us. This is not the first time concessions have been discussed, and there has been concessions in the past. Trust the leadership you have instead of bad mouthing them in front of the whole world to read. I am sure the Company reads these posts everyday so they can use the ammo against us. We have to be smart. The smartest thing for us to do is stand together.
  5. You can always open up the National Agreement and find this info also.
  6. Yes there is a no strike clause in the contract, but Local levels can still put the Company in D1. Hence, strikeable issues, (work standards and safety). Some key plants could easily gain us leverage if needed.
  7. Hell I might let her strap one on for 3.6.... :happy feet:
  8. Its dumbass analogy's like this that fuck up the world. I guess just to some it up without getting to deep into your blah blah blah! I gotta an idea lets do another 8 years with the Pubs and see if the working class has anything left. Were gonna get it alright, how much worse can we get it after what Bush has done to drag this country into the ground!!
  9. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh!!!............................................................................ ....................................JK. LOL. What the hell is a clue?
  10. I was told Mulally said they are done offering them. But you never know.
  11. Why do you say that they will be holding all of the cards?
  12. Absolutely!!! They are trying to come after us now because they know there will not be another opportunity to try and bust unions for another 20 years. They have the media on their side blasting us whenever they can. Blame the UAW as always! When the dust settles after the recession Ford will make money again. No one should give up shit. They are playing the scare tactic card.
  13. Hey if I had the solution I would be the million dollar man.! You should have a word or two with the retiree with the Honda. That is fuckin bullshit!!! Give him this>>>
  14. Everyone knows that legacy costs are an issue. But lets not forget the reason you have all the benefits and wages you have are from those same retirees!! Legacy costs are only an issue because Toyota and the other foreign companies have no legacy costs, so you are comparing apples and oranges!
  15. They have already been discussing this. They do not have the money to support it.
  16. Obviously the majority of the people in your plant must have voted for the representatives you had to vote.
  17. Correct on this. The only thing I will add is the UAW at the Local levels do still have the ability to strike for Health and Safety and Work Standards issues. So if I strike was needed we could easily have one if needed. A few D1 grievances at key plants and badaboom done. But a strike would hurt us all.
  18. The number is 362 for Dearborn and 47 for WH. They are canvassing hi to lo at Livonia and AAI and 3 other plants I do not know right now
  19. Do not even bother with Trimdingman anymore. He is either Company or one of those Anti-Union bashers! He makes absolutely no sense, oh and BTW Trimding hopefully those non-union people are not hiring a 64,000 lawyer to resolve their grievances. LMAO!! As a rep also, you are doing your job correctly Steve.
  20. This makes zero sense in my opinion. The job of the committeeman is to represent the membership in hearings and to make sue they are not violated, within the confines of the agreement. It also their job to let members know when they are doing wrong. They are not babysitters, everyone in the UAW is a grown man or woman. It all starts in kindergarten. Right from wrong. You cannot put it on the committeeman when someone continuously break rules. It is simliar to a lawyer in some sense but the job of a committeeman is to protect all members, when you allow members to keep doing wrong you are a part of the problem not the solution. Tell them like a man. "Grow up this is your job not the fun house!'
