whatever dude! U were the true negativity on this thread and you know it!..dont be bitter..i know u felt screwed when
ya went to norfolk but DTP treated ya well i hope! Have a good summer and take up yoga or meditation. :shades:
Cool. Well said dude! I will look into those courses but there are sooooo many fine courses around my home. :shades:
Hope everyone has a fine and fruitful summer! God bless!
My supervisor contact said same thing....9/22 back to work..B crew is starting @ 3:30pm now monday of coz! I am
hearing that may be dwn in Nov for whole month too! :reading:
Leave it on the boards bud...i dont think u really mean it but......ive seen things spill over
from internet into real life and u especially wouldnt want that at ur place of employment! :shades:
This Jerzey guy is obviously bitter and not too classy an individual.... this was a very
pleasant and nice thread for a change... i can relate completely as MI does have many
wonderful golf courses around my city and the summers here ARE AWESOME! Not being
a native either i often wonder just why so many michiganders are negative w/regards
to there state....ive come to believe they had it tooo good fo sooo long!..even in this
downward economy the pay rates in MI specifically blow away my home state of VA
in almost every category... its super expensive to live in VA and they dont want
to pay jack!...got a car wash as soon as i got bk to VA after nice long rd trip dwn
from MI and they charged me $7 for basic wash!..and Virginia beach where im from
has a 10% luxury tax on any restaurants or fast food or any non essentials!
Something to ponder......i will stay in MI and just visit VA/NC from now on.......happy
golfing!...i will be in farmington hills/plymouth area enjoyin the greens till sept 22nd!

With the cutting of salary positions left and right and ppl jumping ship in every management
capacity...there are few w/experience to handle any of this....lets hope it works out well
for all involved! :shades:
Same current buyouts paks offered again equals same dismal response from employees! I know
company is hurting but if they want tons out they must once and for all step up amount offered!..
then they can hire all the 14.50 p/hr ppl they want and wall street will be thrilled! :reading:
Yes we are very lucky ppl! Hope its not a slaughter after next contract and UAW
doesnt sell out high seniority ppl w/ buy dwn of pay BS! Im slightly expecting this
if things dont improve alot..................start seriously considering another career
just to be safe if this happens ppl!
As good as the Escape hybrid is our company should have a hybrid model in development
across almost all product lines @this pt...toyota will have soon...F150 and bigger trucks
may be tougher but not impossible..new 6spd trannys we have will make 15% mpg improvement
alone...even a mild hybrid arrangment (ala GM) could help another 1-2 mpg min w/small
cost penalty.....................
Well, actually u should have let us welcome u but.............since thats out of the way..
hope u make a positive, productive contribution here it can be a great source of info
and most of us really try to help eachother out! :reading:
Havent seen the wizard on here in a LONG time..he was most crediblr by FAR. My guess is her
retired, took buyout or worse...laid off? Always felt he was in high management pos.
inside ur head information maybe..thats bout all! DTP will not lose F-150 production..they
will gain much anticipated F-100 and possibly all other F-150 prod in near future depending
on economy/gas price increases.
Yes, but in VA it took what was it 3-4wks to get ur unemployment???...i get unemployment 2days after callin
MARVIN now!...as for 2wks thing, if u cant manage ur money for every 2wks then not much i can tell ya anyway
boss! :reading:
Right. I believe thats what seperates the 2 scenarios. I dont have a page number for ya
but this was in old contract book as my plant closed summer '07..although ive been in
MI since jan. 07. I dont think much has changed w/regards to language on this matter
w/ old/new contract. We havent gotten copies of new contract @ DTP yet!
Filing in MI will be the easiest most seemless unemployment process you've ever enjoyed.
MUCH quicker than VA in my experience.........but, u MUST get it right during ur phone
call every 2wks to MARVIN and dont hang up till u get monetary determination or ur
SCREWED! :reading:
