I am transferring as well and have talked to a couple people who have all ready went out there to scope it out. In addition to Crown Point, some decent areas in Indiana are Lowell, Cedar Lake, Munster, Hobart and Merrillville. Supposedly Merrillville is where most of the shopping and all that stuff is. Like I said this is coming from other people so I'm not exactly sure of the minute details but I hope it helps. Anybody out there that knows of these places maybe you could help us fellow brothers and sisters out with some insight! Can't wait to get out there!

We really lucked out at OHAP! They scheduled the second week as a down week! Looks like I can keep my vacation time! Rock on!

Spring, i agree with you. I think it's possible to pull through this mess. Wasn't it not too long ago that in the journal that there were talks of a possible addition with tax breaks to OHAP? Then we hear about this possibility of closure? Somethings fishy! Then what, last week we got the letter from the plant manager that quality etc. was all on the rise. We are turning things around and are showing the company that we can be competative! I smell another scare tactic like the last time they started the buyouts. I know that anything is possible and I won't put anything past the company. We have the fourth largest plant in the system and I think it could be used for more. We'll see. Also if I'm not mistaken when the company talks about losing money it's not as bad as everyone thinks. Sure nobody wants to lose anything, but the fact remains, we still make money just not as much as they projected! So we lose but still make! These are just my opinions. We need to all stick together and do our parts!
