  1. Well at least FORD made a modest profit. Sure a hundred million would probably be a rounding error by TOYOTA's standard but at least FORD is on the right track. GM on the other hand is still a mess. I still dont know why they are hanging onto SAAB, PONTIAC and SATURN. They are spreading their limited resource over too many brands which is biting them in the ass.
  2. Look at the date of the Bloomberg article vs the MSNBC article. Toyota is growing in Europe as a whole even though their numbers have fallen in WESTERN EUROPE. They are doing very well in Russia and Eastern Europe.
  3. maybe you ought to do a bit of research beforre posting. Otherwise you would sound like a retard like most of the people posting here. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24273631/ Toyota reported steady demand in Asia and strong demand in Europe, while GM said it had record sales in its regions outside of North America.
  4. I just noticed that the guy was driving a 5 speed stick. Wonder if it effects automatic Tacoma too or is the problem limited just to manual equipped Tacoma ?
  5. Now that FORD has offloaded LR, JAG, and AM and plan to ditch VOLVO soon, how much longer can they remain the third largest automaker in the world. Has Volkswagon already surpassed FORD in terms of global sales or is FORD still ahead ?
  6. Looks like an element that has been forcefully stretched. Are Japanese design taking a turn for the worse or what ? Remember the early 90s Camry and Accord. They look so much better than the current one.
  7. Maybe but I certainly dont resort to namecalling with people I dont agree with. If this kind of insults are allowed to fly around here then the hosts of this sites are taking "Freedom of speech" quite seriously.
  8. Absolutely uncalled for regardless of whether you like FORD or not. I know every automotive forums have their fair share of trolls, but to come to a FORD fansite and resort to this kind of calling is outrageous. If this was TOYOTANATION, CHEERSANDGEARS, or GMI you would be banned for this kind of language.
  9. And how much does those two cars cost ? One is nearly 60 grand fully loaded and the other is about 80 grand. This car with the V8 engine will have a base price of around 35Gs. This is a solid effort by Hyundai no matter how the nayseyers try to spin it. Just admit it Lincoln can't hold a candle against this car.
  10. Repeat after me : The XRS also comes with a 5 speed automatic. The XRS also comes with a 5 speed automatic. That is one more gear than the FOCUS has. FORD made a dumb move dropping the 2.3L engine as an option.
  11. I wouldn't mind GM losing the No. 1 spot to Toyota. Their management and fans have this attitutude as if they are entitled to the No.1 spot.
  12. Wrong. The XRS I believe also comes with a 5 speed automatic. And if u want more power, the dealer will install a supercharger just like the Scion TC that would bump the horspower to 200. And it is covered under warranty. But let us face it, by the time the new Corolla comes out gas prices in some parts of the country could apporach 4 bucks a gallon and performance will take a backseat to fuel efficiency. That is why Toyota sells a boatload of Corolla.
  13. Are u blind or drunk ? the F150 is the best looking truck out there by far. It needs a better powertrain, but it definitely is the best looking truck out there. The look is conservative yet handsome. The RAM and the TUNDRA are by far the ugliest IMO.
  14. Then you should embrace Hillary Clinton's socialist utopia where the government is in charge of everything. You can't be a defender of capitalism and be against free market. In a free market, you build your product where it is the cheapest to do so; hence you increase your profit margin. A high Aussie dollar is not conducive for manufacturing and Toyota realizes that. That is the same reason the BIG 3 are closing plants here and opening new ones in Latin America and China. Lower labor cost + no healthcare liability.
