How do they get the valve covers off??? I can't even see them on my 08

I had ordered mine in November and mine was the first one the dealer got in. When I registerd it They told me it was the first one in the province to be registerd. So far I think it is great . The ride, the power and the stereo system is awsome with the subwoofer. I still have not seen another on the road yet.

On the bright side the sound system with the subwoofers etc. is top notch!!!! Thumbs up on this.!!!

Yes I beleive it is a problem also. Also when on satellite radio I can't select stations from the steering wheel button. Works ok on regular stations. I must have been the first one to have told them about the problem.

I think my 08 superduty is awsome. The ride the looks the power the styling is nothing compared to my 04 or 03 . I get nothen but ooohs and aaahhhs when people check mine out. Even some Gm guys that say they may have to switch to ford now. The pearl blue on mine is stunningly beautiful. The only thing that resembles my 04 is that it has 4 doors. the rest is completley different inside and out not one thing is the same . I don't know if it's the headlight placemnt or bulbs but the lights light up the road better. I think the lower lights are due to the fact the bumper are lower for probably safety reasons. I personnaly like the look better then my 04

On my 08 \I tried the voice thing but right now the system is not working properly. I beleive they have a deffective sytem right now being put in the 08 and ford is trying to figure out the problems I am having. I tried it on new 08 on the lot and it was also not working corecttly. Ford supposed to get back to me after checking with pioneer , the supplier of this problem.

My 04 is white and yes this new pearl blue is nice. I can't wait till it warms up enough so I can clay it and apply about 3 coats of zainos bros. wax.

The flaps say powerstroke on them. The dealer installed them for me. I beleive they are a ford accessory

I love mine and it is way superior to my 04, throttle response, the power, engine so quiet I've actually tried to start while it was already running, the tailgate step awsome, the fold away mirrors are great for car washes or when parked in parking lots, the pionneer tracking and sound system is best to none. The lower headlights I like. The front bumper is lower to the groung then my 04. Might have something to do with matching the bumper heights more closely to other vehicle bumpers. Ireally like the beige and taup interior color.

We have switched to ulsd totataly in Sept06 ulsd diesel first came on stream in May 06. In our bulk tanks we took samples in July, August, Sept, 06 to test the ULSD ppm from the residual sulpher of lsd. By July in our tanks we were down to ULSD pppm. All the clear diesel in Canada now is ULSD and I beleive it is the same in the US. The off road diesel is not ULSD used in farming and construction. That is supposed to change by the end of 07

Talked to Ford rep today. They could not answer it either. They were going to discuss it with Pioneer who supplied the system. and get back to me. It may be defective stereo sytem. The funny thing is they have a 1800# on the stereo screen who to call for about the system and it was the number for cust. care and they don't understand why their # was there.

The pulll out step and the fold up grab handle on the tail gate has to be one of the coolest improvements. I used to carry a small ladder to get in my 04 superduty. It makes the tailgate a little heavier to close.

Maybe you got something there. On the screen before you start the gps it says something about ordering a updated map disc. Yes they tease with it and to get the full version you have to pay maybe. Ill order the upgraded disc and se what happens

I think fuel milage differences are the gear ratio in the trucks. Here most trucks on the lots are 4:10 gears. I order mine with 3:79 and it makes close 400 rpm lower diiference at 100k (60 mph)

I know that . I' m in the bulk fuel bus. There will be lots of service available for those filters to be cleaned. You won't have to get it done by a dealer only. There are company doing filter washes now so they will start that part of the business also. At meetings we had they suggested it would be exchanging one for a cleaned one. In southern ontairio there was a refinery fire and there is no diesel and the trucking association is asking the gov. to let offroad fuel (500ppm) to be used till the supply comes back.

Every 07 diesel whether in a peterbilt, kentworth .mack , chevy or ford they all have the filter in the exhaust. It is there to trap the soot and the engine computers will change the mixture of the fuel to burn hotter to finish burning off the soot particles as the computer senses back pressurre on the exhaust. The sulpher in the fuel will eventually clog the filter and on big trucks will have to be removed and cleaned. The sulpher is not able to burn off like the soot.It is going to be part of regular 500k maintenance.

You will not kill the emissionson system or sensors or anything at all will get damaged. what the higher sulfur diesel does is plug a filter in the exhaust. Same principal as a cataletic convertor in gas. This howerever can be removed and cleaned. It would take continious running on 500ppm to notice anything for quite a while. Big trucks have the same thing. That is the only thing that is different..

I have my new 08 superduty and I seem to have a problem with the navigation sysytem. On the screen where you type in the phone number or the street numbers on theinput screen, the numbers or some the numbers disappear on the screen when trying to input. Salesman and I tried it on another 08 and it does the same thing?? Anyone else have this probl;em or is there some thing I have to order extra or what. manual say nothing about upgrading or ordering etc.
