Well it asked for what vehicle I wanted and it didn't have a 2015 option so I assumed it was. Good to know for next time.
-
Exactly, I bet we don't see them on the site until the ok to buy happens. They just became available on the x-plan website yesterday. Up till this weekend, you could only request a pin on the 2014s.
-
They are not at the dealership, all they are doing is advertising the ones they have ordered. Ford has not given the "ok to buy" order yet and until they do, they will all sit at the factory. Once the "ok to buy" happens, trucks will start shipping. I've been told that will happen on or around 3/29.

Here is the color info: Bronze Fire (H7) and Caribou (H5) are late availability paints and will not begin scheduling until Thursday, May 8, 2014. The LT275/65R 20E BSW A/T (TAW) tire is late availability. This will not begin scheduling until Thursday, May 8, 2014.

@hopperwagonbob - strictly a 6.7 issue. You have no worries with the gasser.

All I'm going to say on here with what I found out today is that if you can afford to wait, I'd wait a few months before getting a 2015. Won't go into specifics on here and I know I'm just some guy on the net typing away. If I wasn't in the situation I'm in now, I'd be waiting but there are too many factors that are preventing me from waiting personally. Take that for whatever it's worth. I hope Ford is reading this!!

All the new colors that are late availability are supposed to start being built on May 8th.

I do but dont want to post publicly on it. Dont want to see it spreading across the internet.

Not to rub salt in the wounds... was just told mine is going to paint on the 3/17-3/18 night shift (Monday night). Sent you a PM

My same contact who had a truck "in production" on 3/13 is now showing all 17 of his orders that he placed on 1/15 "in production" as of this morning. They are starting to roll one way or another in the factory.

Lol, its been a painful 2 months!!! Nothing would be cooler then having a picture of your truck on the assembly line. I'm making a binder of all the steps of the order process (order sheet, Dora, window sticker etc) and then going to keep all my fuel slips and maintenance records in it as well. Kind of silly but very excited!! I know someone who was able to get a picture of their Explorer Sport on the assembly line. Amazing picture to have.
-
Waloud, can you make sure mine is all purrrty next Friday when it rolls off the line?? Lol Just got my window sticker today. Any chance of snapping a picture of her on the line? I'd be happy to compensate if necessary.

The app version you can get online for $415 and install it yourself in 10 minutes. There are many times that I'm in a mall or restaurant and want to start my truck (diesel more important the a gas for warmup) and it doesn't reach and you don't know it till you are outside.
-
So does the viper that is talked about and it's the same $50 per year. I'd rather have plug n play then all my wires cut, spliced and heat taped.
-
If the dealer has the last 5 digits, they have the whole VIN. They should be able to give you a build date.
-
You can get the remote access app from Ford in order to remote start our trucks with your cell phone (android and iPhone) It is all plug and play and takes about 10-15 minutes to install it yourself.
-
Then why are some of the 2015 VIN's showing as "in production" as of yesterday if you are not building trucks? There are/were issues with the motors, an internal memo was sent out explaining the issue with them which is why they stopped scheduling 2015s. Have to play catchup by repairing them before building more.

13 mkx Ambient Lighting color reverts to white
blwnsmoke replied to xgman's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
Although I don't have a lincoln (2011 Explorer Limited), many people with the Explorers have reported the same issue with the ambient lighting. It started I believe with the MFT 3.6.2 update. The Explorer's default color is a light blue and it randomly defaults to that color. I find it happens with ours once every 1-2 weeks as well. So it's not just your Lincoln's doing it. The Ford IVT teams response has been to bring it to your dealer to troubleshoot but we all know it can't be duplicated.. it's just a random event. -
Order banks opened up on 1/15/14 and I placed my order on 1/16. I would have done it on 1/15 but my local dealer (dealt with the manager who does all the ordering) said that my "source" was wrong and showed me on his computer that the 2015 was not available. He then called me back on 1/16 and apologized, he made some phone calls and said that they are able to order but they have to use the "concepts" system which is their older system. That system, they have to type in every option code to build the truck and he was showing me the newer system which is a bunch of just drop downs and check boxes (must easier and faster to build a truck). So I drove back down there and after spending 2 hours going over options and building one, I walked out with my order number. As i said, I received my VIN on 2/9, build date was 3/17 and changed to 3/21. "ok to buy" is supposed to happen on or around 3/29 so trucks should start shipping out then to dealers. A few weeks back, Ford stopped scheduling (still accepting orders) because of motor problems they found. They stopped scheduling because they had to fix every engine they built and didn't want a huge backlog until they caught up. Scheduling is supposed to resume on 3/20. Again, you can still place an order with your dealer, it will just sit as "unscheduled - clean" until they start scheduling again. And to add to the excitement for all of us, Ford is already ready for a power reflash, they are just waiting for Ram to try and 1up Ford's power. They have tested the motor/torque converter to 500hp and 1,000 torque with no issues. I doubt we would see this on the 1st reflash but as the competition keeps trying to power over Ford, Ford will keep going.

3/17 was the original date. Production has already begun on the 2015s.
-
Engine problems, they stopped scheduling so they could fix the issues, once caught up, scheduling will resume. I ordered mine on 1/16 and received my VIN on 2/9. My VIN might have been available earlier, that was just the day that I inquired about it and was given it. Build date was originally 3/17 and got rescheduled to next Friday, 3/21.
-
If you don't have a VIN yet then you won't be schedule for a bit. Ford stopped all scheduling of 2015 Superdutys and will resume scheduling them beginning 3/20. If yours is fortunate to get built in March, the "ok to ship" is scheduled for 3/29 (subject to change) so you would be looking at the first couple weeks of April is my best guess. Mine is being built on 3/21, got my VIN about a month ago.

hoping for another update. Thanks!!! 1FT8W3BT2FEA00846

2015 F-350 6.7 Crew Cab
blwnsmoke replied to Ford truck guy's topic in Vehicle Locator By Ford Employees
I'm sure you will get an update soon but wanted to let you know if you don't have a VIN assigned yet, all orders without one have been put on hold and scheduling wont start up again until 3/20. Hope the Employees don't mind me posting in his thread. Figured it would help the OP in not wasting time asking for updates if there is no VIN available now. Read rules, didn't see anything relating to me posting so apologize if I shouldn't have.
