That's the Mercury one right? See, that's what I think of when I hear "Capri".....and I see one running around near me occasionally as well.

Is it the wheel design you don't like or the size, or both? The roof is better than it was. I did raise it quite a bit. I think part of what's throwing off how much I changed it is 1) I think the images posted are different sizes than they would be in real life (if that makes sense) and 2) I also raised the trunk height, which makes the roof look lower (not as high, at least) as well. I guess you're talking a bit more pronounced, but if you look closely, there's a character line that begins over the front fender and continues over the fender vent along the side of the car under the beltine....it then has a slight uptick and eventually blends into the tailllight/trunk area. I guess that's not what you had in mind? Maybe a little more pronounced as I said?

When I hear Capri, I think Mercury, though.....that's mainly because of when I was born, I suppose.

I post it here because I'd like to see what people think. Nobody responds in the Photochops/Renderings section. If people would respond/post in the Photochops/Renderings section, I wouldn't post it here. I don't like posting something and getting, for example 6 posts (3 of which are my own) in 5 months. Now had the thread been discussed somewhat, and had died down by now, like most threads, I would've been fine, and we probably wouldn't be discussing it still, except for the fact that I updated/changed the picture.

It's not that funny. It'd be better if 1)the forum had more members and 2) it was the middle of the afternoon (when more posters are awake, posting).

A Mustang based Ranchero could work, but styling would have to be differentiated enough not to tarnish the Mustang's heritage. I like the chops above. At this point, I don't know if Ford is even considering a concept, let alone a production model, but who knows. A poster above said these chops looked unfinished.....I'll try to play with them when I get a chance.

I'm not going to comment on specific models except the few below, but I think Ford's future product lineup and future in general looks VERY promising, I know I've said that time and time again, but I believe it's true. Few comments on Expedition/Navigator. I'd think that the new 5.4 (the 325-hp-ish one) will be added to the Expy/Navi lineup for 2010 at the latest. Also, the Navigator will receive the BOSS 6.2 before the F-150, I believe, so that'd be for the 2010 model year. Both will also recieve diesel powertrains along with the F-150, so likely 2010? As far as design (looks) modifications go, I expect the Expy would recieve an F-150 inspired dash for ~2010, along with some possible exterior modifications. Similar updates for Navigator, with MKS-type switchgear, would occur as well, I'd assume. As you said, design changes may just wait until 2012, but I'd like to see another MCE before that for 2010.

I did this a while ago, so if I were to do it today, it'd probably be a bit more tasteful/understated. I'm thinkin' EcoBoost 3.5 w/ 340-hp connected to a PowerShift, Manumatic transmission and AWD.
