  1. Ha ha, so current/topical. Well, that rename happened months ago and there haven't been any such revivals since, but still, way to go.
  2. Motor Trend's awards = Bought and Sold. Its why I'm SHOCKED the CX-9 won. Since Ford doesn't have the financial resources to beat bribes from GM or Japan, I can only figure that either the CX is pure gold or the rest of the field really sucked.
  3. Going to see more work with advanced materials, as opposed to just drivetrain efficiency, that's good info. Talked a lot about using volume to hit the efficiency standards, which to me says a boatload of B-cars and much more volume in Hybrids.
  4. AutoBlog Syas So As does Cosmos :reading:
  5. Ruins the interior with a fugly plastic button?
  6. As your beer example shows: nobody wins in that sort of situation. Few people want to sign a contract limiting their options for their next job, and no company wants to lose access to the talent pool by starting such a contract war. Makes more sense simply to copyright their products and prevent them from taking material beyond their desk's coffee mug when they leave.
  7. Yes he was. Hmmmm, 90 Days. Big Super Bowl ad buy coming?
  8. That might have been for the Edge. I wouldn't expect alot of performance-oriented upgrades available for the Flex going forward, the vehicle's dynamics don't lend themselves very well to it and with the Edge out there (and the Explorer supposedly going Sporty-CUV down the road) there's better places to put the effort.
  9. The Camaro concept's been around for half my lifetime, or so it seems, and a sporty vehicle like that risks alot more from becoming stale than does a CUV/Vanwagon/whatever.
  10. What happens to Linc if Volvo moves up-market? It goes up-market as well. Despite what Minimum Bob says, successful American Luxury brands don't mean the death of the imports. I see Volvo and Linc having a relationship not unlike Ford and Mazda: different and distinct (meaning not re-badged) flavors of the same basic product. I also disagree that the C30 needs to go. Having an entry-level vehicles is not a killer, as the tiny BM, Merc, and Audi models have shown. And it gives a good introduction to the brand for younger buyers/
  11. This is the internet, unfortunately they're all teenage flame boards.
