  1. Hey dozerman, your article just pisses me off. You might fool some people, but the people from Nashville know how you and Bunch where going to play the system and not do a DAMN thing. I will say so far so good, but it will come back to bite you in the ASS. You had every oppurtunity to go to KCAP like everyone else, neverless you chose not to go. You could have even chosen to even go to Memphis, but you screwed around playing your little games and let that one slip by you. As far as I am concerned I hope Ford and the UAW give you some of your on medicine. Now that you are 50 the smart thing would be to see if you could get the 50 and 10 before you jack around and miss out on that one also. From now on keep your crying to yourself because not a DAMN person feels sorry for you.
  2. Furious, does this mean that people at KC will have the option to go to LAP? If so, when do you think they will start moving them out?
  3. Here are the numbers for Skilled Trades from Nashville: 6 PF, 5 MW, 2 ToolM, 2 Carp, and 1 HiLo Mech. All have been given the same date. All will be reporting to KCAP on 10/6/08. Good Luck!
  4. It was official yesterday, the Skilled Trades in Nashville that signed up for Kansas City will be reporting 10/6. I spoke with our committeeman and it is so. 6 PF, 5 MW, 2 TM, 2 Carp., and 1 ITM. No Sheetmetal going.
  5. Guys if you only relized how lucky you really are you would not be complaining. I know for a fact that there are many in Nashville that would love the oppurtunity to go to Louisville. We had several hundred take buyouts because they didn't want to go to Kansas City. I would say that out of those that took buyouts more than 80% would have gone up the road 200 miles. Guys just be thankful you only have to go across town instead of 600 miles.
  6. Changed my mind, deceided to stay home. By the way you must live on this site. I haven't posted in a while and when I do you find it in less than 20 min.
  7. Just to add a little fuel to the fire. Nashville had 26 or 27 trades sign-up to flowback to a Ford facility. We have, I believe 1 MR going to Lima, 3 Tinsmiths going to KTP and all the rest will be heading to KCAP by Sept. 1, per the IUAW. This will end the transition for Nashville and all will be gone. Also 62 production heading to KCAP in a total of 5 waves, 5/12, 5/26, 6/16, 6/23 and 9/1. Just some helpful info.
  8. Oh Shit, my fault Fred. I thought it was you. I didn't look close enough. I believe that the post will work for our plant also, sounds like Nashville as well.
  9. Tinman, I am not trying to start a pissin match either. I am on your side and agree with you 100%. I know that you are not the only one that feels that way. I have been in the union office several times talking to the rep when a skilled tradesman would come in absolutely furious. The regular committeeman would have to take care of the issue. Everyone knows that the skilled trade rep and the maint. manager are like two peas in a pod "tight I am telling you". Fred all I can say is I don't see how all you are not blind by now, all maint. have been poked numerous times. Keep up the fight, it's like the guy said in the earlier post don't give up.
  10. What a minute tinman, be real careful when you put all the committeemen in one group. Your skilled trades rep is responsible for your work. I know that you all are pretty disappointed with your skilled trades rep, but you guys elected him. All I can say is hindsight in 20/20. I know you are leaving, but the guys staying can change that.
  11. I don't believe he will be the only pipefitter going to KCAP. We have 6 in Nashville that signed up to go. IUAW said KCAP would take all. How many years does Big Bob have in, we have one going with 88 seniority, but has 27 credits.
  12. Brother Tinman, I haven't figured why you get so bent out of shape. I was just having a little fun. Now you don't even want to go there about being dumb with me. I will burn your ASS in front of all these people on this forum. I am just trying to be nice and make a statement and you want to call me dumb. I believe you are turning the context of the statement around in a way that was not originally intended. Now the IUAW said you would go to KTP or you would have RTBU rights to Detroit. We all believe you and that is the facts. On the forum a couple of weeks ago I was just messing with you, calmthe F**k down. If you are going to be like this I will just stop. You know it is like when someone out here gets hit with 5 gallons the best thing to do is just walk away, don't keep trash talking or you will get hit again. I love you man. I have known all along you would be going to KTP and with all joking aside I wish you only the best in Kentucky. I have truely enjoyed working with you and you are a pretty good guy (maybe one day you will live up to Trog's expectations). One more thing, I will reveal myself before you leave, I know you have been waiting on that. GOOD LUCK FRED!!!
  13. I am not really sure what your concern is TN Tinman. You made it very clear to me several weeks ago that nobody in Nashville knew what they were talking about. You said you had talked to Frank Keatts personally several times and he said point blank you would be going to Kentucky Truck (feel privileged).. I would not be worried about anything. I would personally take Frank for the gospel, but I am feeling a little uneasement from you. Keep your head up, worse case scenario you will either go th JSP or work for Zeledyne!!!
  14. 1 elec. will be there next Monday, 2 for sure and possibly a third within 30 days. We only had four elec. sign up.
  15. Bite my ASS TN TINMAN, I don't know what list your looking at, but I know what I am talking about. I am correct on my numbers except for 1 MR going to Lima, 2 MW and 1 EL. going to CAP , furthermore your ASS is not going to KTP or the rest of the Sheetmetal Trades. Get it through your thick FU**ING skull they don't need you. You will be going back to Detroit and the rest to KCAP.
  16. For what it is worth Nashville had 27 skilled trades sign up for transfers. We had 1 El. and 1 MW sign up for CAP and the other 25 all signed up for KCAP.
  17. All I can say is you BETTER check with H.R. and the Union because KCAP and CAP will be your first choice, this is a fact. The date has been moved back to May 1 for the transition to start.
  18. Let me try and clear up my earlier post a little. The papers that you signed were irrevocable and you will either have to take a transfer or a buyout/reload package. Now we had plenty of employees that chose not to sign anything. With this they will automatically go to JSP once the transition is complete. Now by these individuals not signing for KCAP or CAP they have already forfeited their first choice and when the transition is complete they will be offfered a second location. If they turn it down they are finished (monies and bennies). When the company wide transfers become available only the ones that have already signed up for a transfer/flowback will be eligible for these new locations.
  19. It applies to all ACH locations and any Ford location that is closed (Atlanta, NAP, Edision, St. Louis, etc). However, I believe that all the closed Ford facilities were given their final oppurtunity last week. It was do or die for those guys.
  20. Does anyone have a straight number on the Temps. We have had several people come to KC to look at the area and the plant. While visiting the plant they either spoke with the Chairman or Pres. and they were informed that KCAP only had around 70 Temps. There is a big difference between 300 and 70. Any help would be much appreciated.
  21. Well one thing is for sure and that is either the plant sell will go through or they will close it. Now you are more than welcome to wait until the next time around, but remember the more favoritable locations may be taken. It is real simple, if you want to remain under the BLUE OVAL you need to go ahead and pick a new home. If you wait around you will more than likely end up having to go to some Sh** hole. As I have said before, it all depends on how big a gambler you are. Therefore, when you leave the table broke and you have no more chips to your name be a man and don't blame Ford Motor because they gave you a chance.
  22. Like I already posted, they may offer you ten different locations within the first month, but it doesn't count as #2 until 60 days have passed. For the second part of your question it all depends on how big a gambler you are. It is a real good possibility that you will be offered a worse location the second pick. "Lets roll the dice"!!!! It is like playing Russian Roulette and I guarantee you Ford has more than one bullet in the chamber.
  23. It is 60 days, but on the same token they can offer you numerous locations within the 60 day window. The second choice does not stand until after the 60 days have passed.
  24. You are correct S.Knight, you will have over 100 from Nashville by Sept 1. I can almost bet you will have that many or more from Tulsa!!!!
  25. If KCAP doesn't need these people why are they taking them and where will they be going when they arrive? I asked my committeeman tonight how many people from Nashville and Tulsa had signed up for relocation packages to KC? He tolded me that he thought from what he had heard it was somewhere in the ballpark of 200 counting skilled trades (100 from each location). The international made it very clear that all who signed up would be going. Then they said to make sure of your decesion because you would go!!!
