Also, if you are planning on having all THREE kids in car seats, you may want to check to see if there is enough room for all three to fit. Two car seats greatly reduce the amount available for a thrid person to sit in the middle; I don't know how well three would fit. I'd test it out before buying to ensure that I could tranport my whole family.

In order to see the incentives on the Mercury site, you need to choose 'payment calculator' at the end of the 'build and price' process. I just checked there, and it give the choice of 3.9% financing or $1500 good through 9/29/08 for my zip code.

I picked up my 09 Mariner V6 Premier on Saturday. I had two options at that time in regard to pricing: 1) Stick with the original price that I signed for when I ordered (end of July) which was before the price increase and with a $500 rebate 2) Use the current pricing with the $1000 rebate now being offered. Option two was about $150 less than option 1, so I chose option 2. I did have X-plan, and it seems that the price increase was not as great on those numbers as it was on the MSRP numbers as listed in another thread.

My dealer had told me that he expected the vehicle last week, but it hasn't arrived. I am going to be without a car starting this Wednesday, since I started the sale process with the people buying my car. So, I'm hoping for some news, since my dealer can't seem to tell me any more than that it should be in any day. I guess I want to ensure that the Mariner has actually been built! From other postings on this site, you will have noted that many were curious when Ford would start to market the new model year. A previous thread stated that Ford must be getting close to updating the Escape site with the 09 info, and I thought people would like to know that Mercury has now done that for the 09 Mariner. I know that much of the info is available on other sites, but at an official site you can be sure that the info should be accurate and you also have access to everything in one place. Perhaps that doesn't interest you, but everybody is different in what "excites" them. Hope this meets your curiousity quota!

I went to the Mercury site a bit ago and noticed that they now feature the 2009 Mariner! You can now build and price an 09 Mariner.

Thanks ViperPilot! I only planned on checking to see the window sticker. Last week I must have been a day early in my request based on the dates you gave me today. Now that I have my window sticker, I'm not worried about the rest as they shall hopefully fit in with what the dealer told me. I really appreciate the updates you gave me.

I have the same question, but I don't think it has been asnwered by anyone yet. Can anyone explain whether any orders in the system are effected by this? And if so, how far do you have to be in the process to not be effected? I placed an order around 7/21 with my dealership, but don't have a PIN assigned yet. I'm already paying more than I wanted for features that I don't want, but are required to get the features that I do want. Whose bright idea was it that you have to order the Sun & Sync package in order to get a roof rack and the amenities package on an 09 Mariner? I didn't really want leather, but it was cheaper to upgrade to the Premier rather than adding a moon roof which I definitely didn't want (based on the other options that I wanted).

TOPIC SHOULD READ: Ordered Mariner today; Surprised by availability of incentive offer I've been waiting to order my Mariner until I could see the new sterling grey color on the vehicle. My local dealership called yesterday to let me know that they had two in stock for me to take a look at. I decided to go with that color and placed my order today. In fact, my salesperson let me know that a rebate offer on the Mariner had just started today and runs until the end of September. It's not much ($500 or 5.9% interest rate for 60 months), but it's better than nothing. He also said that I would get at least that offer, but if a better one comes available before my vehicle arrives we could use it instead. I wasn't expecting any incentives so soon, so I got a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure which Mariners' it covers; I ordered a Mariner V6 FWD.

One of my local dealerships received a 09 Mariner sometime this week; they had one on the lot last night when I drove by after dinner.

When I look at the black pearl and depending on the lighting at the time, I see shades of green in it. I agree with the advice of previous posts to go to the dealership and look at the color. I know that the Black Pearl color was available on the 08 Mariner. To see some of the new shades that have come out, I've been watching for the new vehicles to show up at the dealerships. This week the dealerships in my area have received some of the Ford Flex vehicles. This allowed me to see 2 of the new colors for the 09 Mariner (the Brilliant Silver and the Sterling Grey color) on a larger scale and in the different lighting to help me choose the color that I like best.

Does anyone know where they plan on placing the USB port for the SYNC system on the 09 Mariner? Some vehicles have had it in the center console (which I am hoping for), while other vehicles have had it located on the dash...
