  1. Yes 4 on 4 off is a great schedule. Fatso dont like it much but out of all of the AWS schedules I think 4 on 4 off is best. You have your choice of just working the 4 on 4 off and get an additional 50 days off per year plus save all vacation for pay in lieu (4 days off every week is like a vaction every week) or working all of the O/T and making over $140,000. Your choice
  2. Masterchief, You of all people should know those "retirees" through an agency are only there temporary until all 1 for 1 placement happens, reskilling and buydowns. Once that happens here comes the zone forcing. Why would you fabricate a post to spin a lie? Chicago has been posted 5 times and no one wants to go there.
  3. Over 900 trades leaving and only 600? in production/ILO , I have a feeling everyone will get a opportunity to get back into the trades. See you guys soon, looking forward to working with you
  4. Oh if you want overtime then AWS is for you. The company will never man the shifts with proper coverage, always running short. They somehow want to ignore the fact that when equipment runs nearly 7/24 that the preventative maintenance is a secondary thought. They would rather run it till it breaks causing unnecessary down time during production than actually doing the PMs and run more units. You will make a ton of money on the AWS if that's what you want. If management ever got smart and actually did the PMs instead of fabricating paper work they could build tens of thousands more units per year.
  5. Most of our trades that took the incentive will be leaving June, July and August. So most of you guys should be back by August. I am happy for all of you returning, looking forward to working with you in a few months
  6. I heard the number was close to 700 trades signed up for the 100,000 as of Wednesday. 750 trades leaving is not out of the realm of possibility. Unbelievable foresight on the uaw to get you guys back in trades. Welcome back. I would have never guessed so many are leaving.
  7. You should be back in your trade fairly quickly. Management is scrambling to understand reskilling and backfilling now.
  8. Management is scrambling here to get the electrical reskillers on shortly after the March 9th window closes.
  9. You want job security then your best choice is the rouge
  10. Ya I also love the AWS 4 on 4 off. Never want to go back to 5 day. Dont knock AWS. Try it youll love it. Like Pioneer says,,,,, and I agree
  11. Thanks Uawfactoryrat. I heard 400 last week and figured it went up closing in on 500 Jerrymaker, 466 is exactly 100% of 466 taking the 100,000 incentive,,,,,,,,,,,, Hope this helps
  12. With the new investments at LAP, MAP and DTP you can expect 20 weeks of Electrician training served up at AAI. Posting for Electricians is the first step in new product investments and shift additions
  13. Thats good news, how many openings were on the posting?
  14. The new hires in body are all past temps
  15. $100,000 is alot of money. More than what I could save over 5 years
  16. Over 400 SKILLED TRADES signed up for the $100,000 incentive. That number was given 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what the production take rate is but SKILLED TRADES are over 400. Could be possible hitting the 500 number with several days left to sign up. Your estimate of 100 is off by 300 to 400.................... Thanks for playing, trap door exit, flush
  17. Really? Ford reported a total of 12 billion NA profits for 2011 to the SEC? You are about as dumb as chuckie morepie
  18. So far they have followed 1 to 1. Many retraining opportunities for Electricians and Stationary Steam here in the Rouge
  19. Everyone back to work????????? The UAW negotiated the temps to be full time at DTP and are hiring permanent at LAP, KTP, CAP and MAP Everyone that is ILO has been surveyed multiple times. You better call your local and find out why you did not get a posting offer
  20. You are clearly uneducated, deceitful and quite frankly,,,, dumb !!! I made well over 100,000 last year and cleared well over $4,000 on my 1st and 2nd quarter profit sharing check last December. Overtime was calculated in my check and it was not capped as I cashed in on this benefit and I was rewarded for my hard work and determination
  21. Yes, the UAW has negotiated a miracle in re skilling these 25 reduced trades currently working in production. I look forward to working with most of you that selected Electrician during your training rotation in Body. BTW Fatso's comment on sitting in his chair and eating cake is just for giggles. We are constantly on the run and the days go by quick (plenty of ot also). Glad the UAW is looking out for you guys and we look forward to training you. This job is no cakewalk so come ready to learn and work. Oh and jerrymaker please dont select Electrician. We dont need anymore Prima Donna's. You would be better off selecting Steam where you work alone and can sulk in your excellence. Really we dont need Electricians with an attitude like yours.
  22. OOOhhhhhhh!!! a non military sailor !!! Wow you hit the jackpot. $4.50 per hour for ALL of your time on that boat and away from home. Great move. So great you have to come back here and call us "fearful" and "complacent" for not leaving our great pay, benefits and job security. You seem to have some sort of mental condition to have to come back here and call all 40,000 of us that choose to stay fearful and complacent. Post here all you want, like I said in the past, I could care less. Oh and thanks for your concern on my ability to work outside of Ford. If you must know I am a State of Michigan Master Electrician so to go elsewhere and make $130,000+ is still attainable. Yes I am thankful for the UAW for providing me a great job, pay, benefits and job security, but if my plant closed I could easily find work and still make 6 digits. Carry on-------
  23. Chump??? $130,000+ a year??? How much does a sailor make since you have to be on that boat 24 hours a day 3 to 4 days in a row. Your compensation is more like $4.50 per hour and weeks away from your family and friends (chump) once all hours in the day are factored in. Sorry, dont know too many sailors making $130,000 per year.................. _________________________________________________________________________________________________
