I hope they don't stray too far away from the '10 design of the fusion. If they make the next generation fusion look more like the mondeo, then it would look too much like the '10 taurus. Ford would become too repetitive in their designs. I like the diversity.

That's exactly what I meant. I drive a Fusion and nobody gives me crap about where it's built. The only thing I get is compliments on it. Sorry to hear that nobody liked your Zephyr. You must hang with an awful rough crowd. Yeah, more crap than complements at KCAP.

Given the situation GM is currently in, and how they have no choice but to sell off the bullshit brands they own, i'm sure their market shares will plunge. Leaving Ford and unfortunately the transplants to prosper. So they may not outsell the US makers yet but face it, it's coming. And if it weren't for the situation the US makers are in, I'd put my money on the malibu for 09. Who knows if GM will be around to launch their Volt. So, only time will tell.

Seriously!?!?! Do you think the fusion is the only ford product that's high in quality? You guys need to get out from under your rocks if you think American consumers care less about where their autos are built. I bought a Lincoln zephyr when it first hit show room floors. i got a lot of shit from my coworkers for buying it. The japanese transplants have had the highest sales numbers for the past decade because "Japanese cars have better quality!" ... How many times have you guys heard that? Oh and by the way Explorer, 2008 Oct year to date sales.. Fusion-128,381 Malibu-151,429 Yeah, the fusion got spanked!
