  1. Wonder what the Big Dog will say about the future of the plant on Thursday? :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: it will just be more of the same.
  2. You're a moron. It has work well at KCAP for well over 20 years with the exception of a few year beginning in 07 or so. Both sides of the plant have used it with out any problems. Quality has never been an issue with tag relief. That is why operators keep their numbers, so when mgmt comes up and says there was a problem with unit blah blah blah, well it's written down. Don't they tell us all the time, document what you do. Do what you document. There is nothing wrong with covering your a$$.
  3. your post makes no sense. What makes people come back from break on time during mass relief? Yes you do have some people that are always late, that is their problem, and is usually taken off the 2nd break in the afternoon. The stop watch is to keep time so you don't get behind. It works perfect a KCAP, we even use it on the other side of the plant in the paint and body shops of the SUV system. I'm starting to think think that you don't have any thing positive to say about anything.
  4. Arod- Sorry your representation is misleading you. That's always sad when that happens. I looked at the post on my way out today, it says. For zoned 3, 4, and 6-30. the deadline has already passed to sign up here. It was Aug, 4th. all the positions are for non-skilled.
  5. ARod- Verify what? that I actually work a KCAP. If you must know I work in the main plant. Swing line to be exact. I did not look at the posting to closely, but if you want me to I will, and find out what zones are on it.
  6. 100 openings. Posted a KCAP on Monday.
  7. These are the Saturday production days that the union has said the Company is wanting production. It was put on paper and handed out before we all left for vacation.
  8. I agree we will never reach 900k + units per year, however, I could be wrong, but back in 2004 or 2005 were there not more shifts building F-series than you think? There was Norfork, with 2 shifts. I'm assuming. KCAP with 2 shifts. I know because I was there. Ontario Truck with 1 or 2 shifts. Cuautitlan assembly with 1 or 2 shifts. All they while they are retooling DTP to run F-series, and Kentucky Truck was working 2 shifts. Like I said I could be wrong so don't take this as fact. I just don't want people blasting me if I am wrong.
  9. I agree. I don't think they can make enough F-150's at one plant. Remember before all this started they had like 7 shifts building the F-150 alone. Also, Ford has informed us of 6 scheduled Saturdays between now and Oct. July 24th, Aug. 7th, Aug 21st, Sept 11th, Sept. 25th, and Oct. 16. Things are looking up for us at Ford. We need to quit speculating on whose plant is going to close and focus on where we go next as a union.
  10. All you guys at DTP and LAP sound like you want KCAP to close. That's awfully sad that you are all that hell bent on all of us loosing our jobs in Kansas City.
  11. Thought KCAP was gettting the Transit Connect.
  12. what parts are they? will it affect any other plants?
  13. We have our problems just like every other local.
  14. I have a feeling there are alot of our leaders at many locals that will be removed from office when we go and vote next time.
  15. I don't know any of the details. Just what I have read here. But I do know that when we are divided like this we are spending to much time fighting each other and not fighting the company. The union divided like this is exactly what the Company wants.
  16. Havent been able to smoke in KCAP since January 2004 I think. If you get caught, it's 3 days off and a fine from the City of Claycomo. Several people still do it anyway. People on hi-lows get away with it the most. Smokers have to go outside. There are no awnings or shelter for them to smoke in. No chairs. They bring the bins that the stock comes in to sit on.
  17. The only reason it happened like that this year is because of the issues with the roof of the main plant. Parts of it are unsafe for the trades people to walk on.
  18. No. They have to replace alot of the roof in the main plant. They say it will take all of the 2 weeks. So the official vacation/ down weeks/ what ever you want to call them are the weeks of July 5th, and July 12th. But because of the Holiday on a Sunday, and the Paid holiday on a Monday, (the 5th) I guess that the local hammered out a deal so that A, B, and C crew all have the same amount of days off. We all have 17 consecutive days.
  19. C-Crew in Kansas City the last day is Monday, June 28th. But we return to work on July 16th. Before everyone else, but we get off before everyone else.
  20. Kansas City is off Good Friday, and working Easter Sunday. Same start time as usual. We were supposed to work Good Friday, and have Easter off, but there was an uproar about working on a holiday. The company is supplementing the people who say that they are not coming to work on Easter with B-Crew employees.
  21. no it's not. The 5th is the actual holiday. 4th will just be another work day for C-Crew employees.
