  1. <feigning complete and utter surprise> Whaaaaat????
  2. Meh. I love burnouts. They're automotive hooliganism at it's finest. I say congrats to the Camaro for not just winning, but smoking (sorry) the competition. Driving dynamics, hooking up, yes, yes. But sorry. I think a 200 foot burnout is pretty cool. :happy feet:
  3. Why was the "brand new" Camaro eligible this year, and not the redesigned 2010 Mustang? And how the f**k did a car that is universally lauded (even on Camaro5) as the worst interior in recent history even make the list, let alone beat out every other "sports car" on the road? Even the four Camaro fanboys that think it's ok would be hard pressed to pick it as the "best in class". Yet another 'Best Of" list to be ignored.
  4. My father had an SC T-Bird. I loved that car. It would run with a stock 5.0, and be comfortable as hell. There was an active camber/castor adjustment system on the car that was pretty high-tech for it's day. The suspension and steering would tighten up when driven hard, or via a switch on the center console. When cruising, it would soften up and glide along on the highway for hours, getting decent mileage all the long.... Miss that car.
  5. The glass roof is twelve pounds heavier than the metal one. Keep failing. Already dropping "fuck you's" huh? What were youy driving in '93? And what desireable cars do you own now, champ? I'd take an SHO anyday...
  6. You just did. And yet it seems they are doing a good job of making shoppers buy our products. :shades:
  7. Sounds like you have a lousy dealer, and a pretty big chip on your shoulder. But what does that have to do with Easter? Or is this your rant thread?
  8. Well. As much as I love the Raptors I've driven 'til now, I feel sorry for those "stuck" with the 5.4. I'm guessing mid-fourteens, and an exhaust that won't leave you looking to the aftermarket. You can feel the torque alot more than in the S-Duty, but that's no surprise. The surprise is haw much it revs... ... And that sound...
  9. Yeah. I sell all new cars for $300 under invoice (Raptors and GT 500's included), and am consistently over KBB on trades. Sure am screwing people all right! :boring: Oh, and Ford sets the lease terms not the dealer, but you knew that, right??? wink wink WTF is overtime?
  10. I love how he says "you'll get smoked more often than not when at stoplights, and then lists 6-7 cars, and had to jump to a $40,000 2-seater to find a victor. The Infinite is not faster @ $40,000 either... ...And the 80's Mustangs did NOT run 13's... ... The Mustang has more torque at a lower RPM than EVERY car he mentioned... Is this article from Good Housekeeping? 'Cause this guy apparently has NO idea what he's talking about, and apparently hasn't heard of fact checking. Hell man, Google some shit already! Idiot.
  11. As a salesman, all I have to do is spit out a few performance numbers, be they acceleration, stopping, handling, price, mileage.............. Are these new Camaro #'s on premium??? And I heard that the new 3.7 'Stang dynoed at 308 hp. Anybody know if that was at the wheels? That would put it at 345ish hp, which sounds about right for a 13.7 car lacking V8 torque. Maybe Ford underrated (What? Not Ford...) the V-6 to: A.) Screw Chevy. B.) Make it easier to clear out the 4.6 liter equipped 2010's. Hmmmm...
  12. Are there any comparison tests yet? I just drove the new trucks, both with the diesel and the new 6.2. We have them on our lot. Why aren't there full comparisons out yet? Maybe I should do one on my own... Impressions: The diesel is very quiet, and "effortless" is the word to describe it's power. VERY smooth, and obviously VERY torque. The interior is gorgeous (King Ranch), and the ride is exceptionally quiet and very livable. The 6.2 sounds like a racecar. Awesome. Maybe it was because I had just driven the diesel, but the torque seemed to come on late. The engine likes to rev, and sounds great doing it!!! All in all, it was a fun morning at the dealership, and now if you'll excuse me, they're unloading a 6.2 Raptor that needs my attention!!! :happy feet:
  13. I hear they have some leftover 6 liters to get rid of...
  14. Gee, I wonder why people have such a poor opinion of Unions. Are you all kidding me? Cryin' about not gettin a four day weekend for a two day holiday while the rest of America is working today, or not at all. For the record, I worked 9 hours Friday, 9 hours Saturday, and 12 hours Monday, as did everybody else in my dealership... And everybody else I know. Four days for EASTER?!?!
  15. Dude, April Fools was a few days ago.
  16. I think they have Fiestas at pretty much all of the auto shows at this point. We had a US spec one in Rochester, and our little show is pathetic! Side note: It was Pearl White, and looked classy as hell!
  17. Just ran over to Camaro5, and noticed that while our thread is 2 pages long, theirs is at 6 pages. Is that bad, 'cause we're slacking, or good 'cause when faced with death people often cry and blubber on? Walkin' the green mile and knowin' it!
  18. I am without a doubt a safer driver when stoned than sober. Less aggressive, more law abiding, and a laser-like focus capable of spotting a squad car 3/4 of a mile up the road.... Around the bend.... Behind a tree...
  19. Dammit. Now my '89 has to worry about rental cars! Mid 13's ain't what they used to be...
  20. Colour: Only Pink Floyd can use that one. Bonnets: Bonnets are for babies, man. Rubbish Tins: Korean cars.
  21. <Hack> Sorry, got a cold... <Hack> Can I post my used car inventory here on a weekly basis to drum up business? I just parked a 2008 Scion, and would love to blather on all week about my expert opinion. :boring:
  22. "I" before "E", Dean! Sheesh... Friggin' New Zealanders... : P
