I agree. I think Ford has plans for MAP. That's a good plant. Good location. Something is going in there.

Dearborn stamping has about 60 LTS so there are a few openings we will probably get some from map.

Construction has started on the fuel tank side of dearborn engine. we are hearing something for the f-150. first i heard it was a transfer of operation from frame now i am hearing from dtp?!

when does the full production of the 2012 start? Hopefully by summer 2011. i work at engine and we have only made a few hundred of the 2.0L GDI motors.

i know dearborn engine votes on friday from 6am to 6pm how convienant that 95% of the plant is laid off. i am voting hell no i hope everyone else does the same. enough is enough already, hell will probably be opening this bullsh*t contract umpteen more times anyway.

should be getting people soon. i am in i-4 and when we comeback on feb 16 we will be missing half our team(some went to fuel tank others went to dtp. if you do get in here and they give you a choice between fuel tank or engine my advice take engine assembly. fuel tank slowly being phased out and machining is on some weird 7 day rotation unlike the one at dtp. good luck in whatever happens!!

does the company have to tell us by april 1 when shutdown is at our plants? i am at dearborn engine and there is talk we will have shutdown in september other plants may be in august.

goodbye DTP goodbye ILO. won't miss hanging doors in body shop. got called yesterday to report to dearborn engine next week. enjoyed time off but it is nice to have a job again!!
