  1. For the 10R140? Sharonville Job 1 on it is Sept 2019. Is it being built somewhere else a year earlier?
  2. It sounds like you have gone as far as you can using the 1-800 number. Your dealer needs to escalate this, starting with their zone rep. Maybe ice-capades can chime in with some suggestions on how to direct your dealer's efforts. I bet your hunch is correct, that it was damaged at the plant, probably while being prepared for shipment.
  3. It's Job 1 is September 2019, so it will be for MY2020 vehicles
  4. I imagine MY2020 will be pretty big for the top end of Ford's truck line. It is probably when we are going to see the first major MCE of the current SuperDuty line It is probably when we are going to get the 7X gas engine I wouldn't be surprised if the PSD has a 4 digit torque rating to go with the 10R trans If they bring 7X/10R140 to the E-series cutaway/stripped chassis class it would bring game changing performance to that sector. The RV industry would certainly be ecstatic about this, especially if they reintroduce an 550 class GVWR along with it. Something surprising about that link regarding the 10R140, it seems to be a derivative of the 10R80, not the 6R140. This makes Ford's current 6-speed RWD transmissions "orphans". The 6R80 is a derivative of the ZF 6HP, and it appears with the 10R80 they are done being willing to give ZF royalties on that high volume trans line. The 6R140 was an all-new unit, sharing nothing with the 5R110W which was the ultimate derivative of the C6 family. It is very highly regarded and is certainly capable of giving "more" with some updates. But it appears that synergies with the -80 version outweigh the cost and time advantages of retaining the existing architecture.
  5. Nichols Manufacturing (the company that makes the y-cable to mount the camera connector in the bed) has .625 valve stems for the Ford trailer TPMS in either steel or aluminum. Also, the 7/12 pin connector for the bumper comes in the box with the camera and TPMS sensors. Technically the dealer should swap this for you during PDI but I'm hearing most don't and I'm specifically requesting my dealer leave the connector in the box when my F-450 arrives.
  6. 10R140 has been confirmed to start production August 2019
  7. In that article, all of the examples have a quarter mile trap speed in a band of about 1MPH, and the "slowest" one had the highest trap speed. So it certainly isn't that they are producing less power. Even though their egos won't want to admit it, the variation is probably in the drivers seat.
  8. Fixed/clarified my earlier post. Visually, the only difference seems to be that the "Premium" ones have "King Ranch" or "Platinum" molded into them. It is "rumored" that they come with better sound insulation but that has never actually been confirmed. The "carpet delete" that you can get on say an XLT doesn't come with any floor mats. On the "Premium" ones you get 2 sets of floor mats, a carpeted set and an all-weather rubber set. You also get the "nubs" that they lock onto. This is probably what accounts for the cost difference between the credit on the "carpet delete" option and the extra cost on the "premium" version.
  9. Only major difference between 2017 and 2017 is the availability of a 4X2 F-450 Pickup and the Limited model. The Limited model is basically just new upholstery. Probably no need to wait for "fixes" this model year. On to delays... My 2018 F-450 order is on Material Hold for Inflatable Rear seatbelt. The GM of my dealer is contacting the zone rep regarding my order (they forgot to put it in when I ordered it 3 weeks ago, so she's going to try to get them to up my priority) and I asked her to query the rep on the reason and length of the delay. I'll report back if I hear anything. I had them leave that option on my order for now.
  10. Let me know of this is what you need. Ignore the date at the bottom, I have to set the clock back to early 2011 to get my manual DVD to work. 2011_F-SD_67L_FPCF-FRV.pdf
  11. The extra is probably due to the "premium vinyl floor covering" version in the high-end trucks includes two sets of floor mats while these are left out of in the "carpet delete" versions.
  12. Let's put that in perspective, The 6.2 smoked the competition in that test, it was 1:27 faster than a 6.0L Chevy and 4:27 faster than a 6.4L Ram. The Ford had 3.73 gears and the others 4.10 gears. The 3.5GTDI can't handle the duty cycle of a 3/4+ ton truck. The GCW difference is much greater than the trailer weight difference anyway, given it had to haul around a heavier truck plus 2500lb of water tote in the bed.
  13. And this is an example of an engine family that is not fit for MD usage as installed in a LD truck being modified for MD usage. I don't thing many understand that the mods needed some changes to make them suitable for MD duty cycles, and that has made many here say that the mods had superior durability qualities to the 6.2L. And that just isn't the case.
  14. This never was an issue. This was borne out of speculation on this forum from theoldwizard misunderstanding the exhaust valve/manifold issue based on something he heard "in the halls". The chief engineer of the 6.2L program posted all about this over at FTE before TOW posted what he heard here.
  15. What duty cycle issues? The F150-F350 initial versions did not get upgraded exhaust valves and exhaust manifolds needed for class 4+ usage. The F250-F350 versions of the 6.8 didn't get these either. Only the ones installed in the 450+ did. The 460 (7.5L) never was capable of being used in a MDT. I addressed this months ago, I'm surprised it's still popping up.
  16. Also, it looks like this mule has a standard "US" style rear axle with an inspection cover instead of a dropout style axle commonly seen in the APAC markets. I wonder if this is an 8.8" or if it is a Dana of some kind. I know Dana won an axle contract for the Bronco/Ranger but it may be just for the front axle center section.
  17. Your window sticker includes SYNC3, so by definition you have a radio and cd player when installed in a SuperDuty.
  18. Get yourself a compatible OBDII adapter for your computer and a copy of Forscan. Then use the info you can find here to turn that off, among other customizations you can do. Or, you may be able to get your dealer to turn that off using IDS. But most will just shrug and say that they can't do it.
  19. Donlen is still showing the order banks opening 9/13 Scheduling starting 10/19 and prod starting 11/20.
  20. According to the window sticker corresponding to the VIN you provided earlier, your order did not come with order code 535, so per the order guide you will have a 2.5" hitch with a 2" reducer.
  21. The tall deck mods reportedly could not fit when installed from below (like they would be at an assembly plant).
  22. You can get a direct reading of the cylinder head temperature on a 2000 model by putting the cluster in HEC test mode. You will want to scroll to the degC reading. It will be in celsius.
  23. The only thing that changed is the date you used the system to view the sticker (large date below the border).
