  1. I would at least like for the second tier to be able to reach first tier wages and benefits. I want break time back. I want anything over eight hours being overtime. I want for every hourly job they eliminate they eliminate a salaried job. 120 day clock only every five years or only when necessary as for HUGE model change. (They are willing to pay engineers bookoo bucks(hundreds of them) to walk around watching us, nonstop to eliminate our jobs as though they have NO RESPECT for us. Ford family my ass. How does paying all those engineers all that money to get rid of us make any sense when they claim to be hurting so bad and need to cut costs!!!!! I believe we should get just about all the concessions back that we gave up. They pretty much said, "in your face" when they reinstated salaried bonuses and I knew they were going to do that. Just my opinion. Oh, yeah, I would like for international to have had the balls to stand up to them and tell them you already slated new products for these plants during the last contract and we won't allow you to hold that over their(our union bros and sisters) heads for this contract. I would like for our union officials to be backing us, not them.
  2. Ohap got theirs on the week of May 16th.
  3. yeah, that's a pretty good one..Too bad they tax them, what? 42%? So, I figure it'll be more like $2,900.00 or $2,800.00 but hey I'll take it. Too bad all those tax dollars on bonuses aren't helping the American deficit like Ex-president Willy Clinton said it would. I mean this "is" a bonus right? or is it considered a gift? Either way they tax it out the butt and yet our deficit continues to grow...go figure..
  4. Wow, sorry to hear about your struggles and I'm really glad to hear that you made it...things are tough out there job wise and I was wondering how employees that took the buyouts were doing...I'm sad to hear that most of them aren't doing so well. That's what scared me into Not taking a buyout and I'm almost done getting my degree, yet I was fearful of the amount of jobs left in America, let alone in my field with virtuaIy every business out there making/taking cuts, I know people can't afford to live on 14.50 an hour let alone minimum wage and there's too much risk even with degrees these days. So, even those who had lump sums given to them didn't live off those sums for long with the cost of living going up, basically, daily. Congratulations to you and I wish you only the best.
  5. I totally agree with your comment....I've been wondering lately what ever happened to SOLIDARITY? Everyone is all about themselves in the auto industry lately and even so much so to turn in their union bros...I'm thinking maybe cuz all the good jobs are being eliminated so these "union" whistleblowers maybe are wanting these people jobs or possibly these people have better jobs than on the line but they got them from a "favor" from one of their union officials....other than that, I can't understand what happened to solidarity...no, they shouldn't be drinking while working...I know they were on lunch, and that is what about 80% of the work force does,,NOT JUST AUTO WORKERS, and I don't think I could turn in another union worker...that's just wrong...so I'm figuring the so-called union brother that did has a beef with these people or person and is trying to move into their job....or they are just company SUCK ASSES and we all know who those people are...
  6. I TOTALLY agree....there is NO REASON why they shouldn't be getting everyone a fan...It's bad enough that it's that hot and then when you are running around at the speed the engineers want you to be performing your job, it makes it that much hotter. It's hard to do your job when sweat is running into your eyes and burning....Sometimes you really can't feel the air cuz you're moving around so much, but it just helps to have the hot air moving and flowing around somewhat and you're lucky when you catch some of that breeze.....I would maybe try calling OSHA and although it may be trivial to them, you never know what they may say...It's definitely a health and safety issue to me...I can't believe your union isn't doing more to help you guys.. Good luck
  7. Good to know....thank you very much....that's much easier than the way everyone at our plant is doing it....
  8. Yeh, you have to call the corporate help desk.....the one in India...better brush up on their language before you call.....what a joke...you also will need to be logged onto www.changepassword.ford.com when you call so they can walk you through the many questions "many times" cuz you won't be able to understand them the first few times...this makes me sick...but, really you should be sitting in front of the computer and on that site when you call....this was my experience anyways and may God be with you....Good luck.
  9. Voted and will try to remember to vote for him daily until May 31st ,I believe it is...good luck...
  10. See what I mean people? They are already licking their chops...CANT WAIT to throw someone under and HOPING someone does smoke in their site...instead they should be advocating some kind of shelters for the smokers and just be happy that the law passed and now their air will be SO DARN MUCH BETTER in that plant...what a joke...sorry, just my opinion...quit bitching.
  11. P.S. watch out for your nark, union bros that don't smoke. Those are the ones that are turning people in. At first they were getting a warning and then a day off and now, I believe, it's automatic three days off. They have to catch you though, with the cig in your mouth. There are alot of miserable people who are turning in their union brothers. They should be blackballed from the union if you ask me. It's not like they are blowing smoke in their faces. If the air in the factory is that hard on them, maybe they should be working in a controlled atmosphere like an office cuz there's alot of things floating around in the air in the assembly plants.
  12. In Ohio this smoking ban started in Dec. 2007 and while Ford/uaw offered smoking cessation, I believe it was laser, they in NO WAY whatsoever provide for ANY shelter outside....not even an awning. The smokers are treated as though they are not humans. Many have asked if they could have something built-anything for some kind of shelter...three walls at least to shelter from the rain and wind and snow. I know it cannot be enclosed completely. There was alot of promises made to the smokers by people running for committeemen and bargaining and nothing has come of it. Of course, they were promising things before the election and never followed through, but I shouldn't sound as though I'm surprised of that. Just seems like the union structure, at least would stand up for the smokers and say hey, at least give them an awning and some chairs cuz they're still human beings. Making the ability to smoke harder, doesn't help people to stop, it just makes them cranky. They'll quit when they are in that mindset. A little compassion would be nice, at least from the UAW. Good luck to you.
  13. You would think that with the way things were going, they'd just be happy to be getting all the business they can get. And yes, it's probably coming from India...
  14. Oh, you must be one of the few "honest" ones. I'm just telling you what I've heard so many, too many, people tell me about their experience when trying to purchase a Ford product and it's not good to keep hearing this. Like I said, I'm trying to interest people in Ford products and it seems as though the dealerships are chasing them off and it doesn't seem as though they even care. And no, I didn't realize that Ford sets the lease terms and not the dealers......sorry.
  15. Oh, are you one of those dealers that are always trying to stick it to the people? You don't know how many people I've talked to that have said they went to other products; products other than Fords cuz you guys weren't willing to work with them. One said you didn't want to give them anything for their trade-in, another said your leases were too high and you don't want to make it work, yet these competitors are willing to work with these customers. These customers are our livelihoods. You guys need to quit being so uppity and quit not caring that these people are leaving the Ford products and going elsewhere. I don't know who you think you are. Maybe Mullaly should look into "eliminating" your type. P.S. Hope you got paid overtime for all them hours...wink wink. Here I am trying to get Ford customers and the dealers are chasing them away...nice job.....
