  1. "transfer to New Baltimore" it's actually New Boston, I275 - third exit south of I94.
  2. no, Chad Miller is not on the roster, must have taken a previous flow back or buy out.

  3. The contract with the new owners of Milan Plastics Plant overwhelmingly passed yesterday. The fuel tanks will now be made by Inergy, the number 1 global fuel tank manufacturer. Some of the current Ford employees will transition out slowly, especially those that have to train the Orange in jobs held by Ford that require some skill (Ford will subsidize their pay until October). We have moved up on the flow back hierarchy list hoping something opens up soon. I pray the transition is smooth and the Blue will welcome us wherever we end up.
  4. The UIAW representing Milan Plastics and Inergy reached a tentative agreement on 4/14. The buyout/buy down packages were presented this past Monday to all Ford employees. We're told Ford will subsidize our wages for 4 months if we perform a job that will require us to train an Orange to do. No offers to flow back anywhere yet.
  5. Temps can run for positions that don't require grievance handling or bargaining.....everyone can vote
  6. Would love to help you out. Please provide us with the fb name we need to look up to do this.
  7. Milan is in the process of sizing this week. Had no samples to look at or try on. We were told they are coming from Ford.
  8. According to Milan Leader newspaper: * Automotive Component Holdings continues to be the biggest single taxpayer in the city, Swayze said, and its current business situation needs to be monitored. Swayze said that ACH has sold its equipment and book of business to Inergy Automotive Systems, which is considering building a new $28 million plant on the site of the ACH parking lot. An alternative site is also being considered in Huron Township Local Union leaders claim this has not happened yet. Chairman has been out of the building all week. Why keep this info from the employees working in this facility? Information like this would be helpful to those of us still hanging on and waiting for an opening to flow back to. Our time in this facility is ticking down......the fat lady has sung her last song......
  9. Heard they're getting 3 orange electricians from Milan. They report on Monday.
  10. Everyone except the Devon cleaners and Devon employees that decommission plants will share. Their amounts will depend on the number of weeks worked with a max of 30 weeks = $1000.
  11. That advice came from a Ford salesperson. Not representing the company very well. Probably just lazy and didn't want to do the work it took to find out if we could get it the way we want. Won't be ordering thru them, for sure. Called AAI direct and we were assured it would be done. And you are correct, they (convertibles) are sent down the line along with the coupes. Thanks.
  12. Not a fan of the cloth due to the fact that it seems to attract all of the cottonwood tree and dandelion fuzz while the top is up. Seems you need to take a lint roller to them. Not so with the vinyl. Was told they are taken off line to have the roof cut off and the vert tops put on. Would seem I could just swap one for the other without a problem. Still trying to make it happen. Will let you all know.
  13. You wouldn't recognize the place anymore with the entire injection and packout departments demolished. A virtual ghost town, especially while first walking in the place. You made the right decision by leaving, it's inevitable that we all will be going sooner than later. We're making the fuel tanks for both the Taurus and Explorer that are shipped your way. Keep up the good work there and we'll do likewise.
  14. The sale hasn't been finalized yet.
  15. Wondering why I can't order a vinyl top on a GT or Shelby convertible?
  16. Approximately: 220 Blue/300 Orange 48 trades 44 blue/4 orange
