  1. LoL you are correct. I forgot about that quote from Spiderman, but it would be libel. However that does not change the fact that this stuff does not belong on a forum. I can only hope that the people who are on here begging for information stay on the sidelines and do not run for an elected office in the UAW. I would not want anyone in office throwing out personal information about anyone. So stay here and vent, just don't run for office. I am only direcgting this at the folks who were screaming for information on the grievance, not all who posted on this subject. Thanks for the correction Furious. I always confuse the 2.
  2. Pretty sure it would violate the national agreement if a person on loan to Saline or Sheldon works while a higher seniority person at AAI is put on ILO. It sucks but its one of the few times seniority can be used like this. If you were that higher seniority employee, you would want the same thing.
  3. This is my opinion, and not by any means a for sure answer. Contractually, I would think all should have to be returned for an ILO to take place. Technically they only loaned out because they had excess of people. Then they could repost for saline openings for the newly laid off people by seniority. That being said it would create quite a mess at Saline while the moving of people takes place. I think the logical step to take is to let the people with higher than 93(or whatever the cutoff date is) stay at Saline. This would minimize the jumbling around to some extent. and also keep a few more people working at AAI. All who would not make the cut would then have to rebid to fill the openings at Saline or Sheldon Road. I don't see the Union allowing someone from AAI with less seniority working at Saline while higher seniority is laid off. Lots of time between now and July, don't sweat it just yet. In the end I think they will agree somewhat to what I have stated about letting 93 or higher stay on Loan.
  4. And for the record, I have no idea who this person is, I am just speaking as a Union member. I am not defending anyone, I don't think I know anyone who works at OHAP.
  5. That has nothing to do with it. What you guys are asking for cannot be given out. They would be asking to get sued, So you are telling me, if you were an International Rep you would answer these questions and risk your job, and possibly get sued? Like was said before, If it was settled the Company had to agree period. If it was as cut and dry as you think it is, they would not have settled. I have read umpire decisions where the company went to an umpire with very little evidence. They will only settle when they know they cannot win everything they want. What you guys have brought up is a felony act this employee committed. They would never settle for anything less than termination unless an Umpire forced them to period! Its just that simple. Trust me the company would love to take down even a local Rep whenever they can. They would not help in a cover up. They would be screaming at the top of their collective lungs about it.
  6. Could not possibly agree anymore! I am in Michigan and have no idea about Ohio elections, but something tells me you hit the nail on the head. Great Post!
  7. Ok I give up. You just don't get it. How many times are you going to hear the same answer and then just ask the same question over and over. It's like my kids when they were 5 and every time I answered one of their questions, they responded with why. You are never going to get it. Sorry but I lack the ability and desire to try and fix stupid!
  8. How many trades will be needed? Anyone have any ideas?
  9. I am just your everyday average worker, not a rep at a local level or international. However I can tell you that even on the FFF site, they are not going to answer. Its a private matter between the employee in question, the company and the Union. The only person who can tell you anything is the employee in question. I know it sucks, but really its better this way. Would you want any Union rep discussing any grievance or discipline with anybody besides you? I know I would be pissed if a Rep told anyone about any discipline I had received. That would be like me hounding Reps on here for info on something your involved with. Its just not my business, plain and simple. They are not hiding, or avoiding the questions just because you asked, they cannot just randomly release information about people just because they are asked to. Don't take it personal. Just some more food for thought if I may. I can guarantee that every single Labor rep has been burned on a technically by even not so good Union Reps. Now lets assume what has been said is 100% true and factual. Are you going to tell me the Company which it sounds like has an air tight case, would not notify the authorities about a Union Rep committing a felony act while serving as a Union Rep? Trust me they would in a New York Minute! They would relish that fact and make sure it hit the news one way or another. I have seen to many people make false allegations against another employee and even Union Reps just because they felt they were not represented as well as they thought they should be. Many over zealous Labor Reps have ignored the lack of facts or evidence and just handed down punishment. Fact of the matter is they just can do that. Its the Unions job to then step in and file a grievance accordingly. Then when all the facts are presented it gets settled, both sides must agree to a settlement. If all of these alleged facts are indeed true, mark my words, the company would never settle it for anything less than termination. They will just push it to and Umpire, pay what $500 bucks or whatever the fee is and watch an Umpire laugh at the Unions grievance. But again it all comes down to privacy. I don't want my crap discussed by anyone else but me the Company and the Union and neither would you. I am sorry but let it go. If any of the reps discuss this with you on either forum they could be brought up on charges. There are just certain rules that must be followed or anarchy would soon follow. Everyone would know everything about everyone else.
  10. Could not agree more. Well at least a few of us understand the process. I wish I could, but I lack the ability to fix stupid.
  11. I read the modifications, and not just the highlights. They are capped at 20 percent. With some less benefits but not the worst ever. If and its a big If they ever become the majority, they will fight to get there benefits brought up to where ours are, not to bring ours down just out of spite. I have been in a Union family since they day I was born. Like it or not, and I really don't like it but some of these concessions kept us out of Chapter 11 or 13 or whatever it would have been. Now GM and Chrysler had to give up there right to strike, we at least were able to vote on it and voice our opinion. I firmly believe the Union agreed to this to live to fight another day. What good is a Union if government has overall control of your company? If Ford does turn this whole mess around don't you think the Union will be there to make sure we get some of what we deserve? I am pretty sure some of these International reps will have some family members working in this 20 percent group when it does materialize. Still think they won't fight to improve them? I still stick to what matters most, right now we are in better shape than the other 2, bottom line. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but we live to fight another day. The thought keeps me going as I wait for an opening in my trade, so I can return to my toolbox.
  12. Hey cap, check your PM's I sent you one a few days ago. Thanks
  13. Just a quick question. Would any of the folks on here asking all the questions about this grievance wish to have all of their dirty laundry thrown out for public view? I understand you all have some questions, but frankly, and I am sorry to say this, its none of our business. It only affects the people involved. I have never stepped foot in Ohio Assembly, or wherever this took place, so why should I have access to this information on a public forum? I was a committeeman, lots of people have done stupid things before and got disciplined or even fired. It's between them, the company and the Union representation, that's it. It would not be my place to answer any questions about any grievances I filed or did not file in a public forum. I know everyone is frustrated, but like was said in earlier posts, there are always 2 sides to a story. Unfortunately, the side of the Union reps should not be heard for everyone to read unless the employee in question says it himself or herself. Frankly I would be disappointed if Chris, Level or anyone else did answer these questions on here. Just my humble opinion, but go ahead and flame away on me.
  14. Sent you a PM when you get a chance
