I purchased a new Focus Ti and noticed the moonroof only opens 3/4 of the way. The dealer says it's normal and that it's a two stage but the second stage only opens it another inch further. Should I be taking it back to the dealer or is this normal.

I took my '12 Focus Ti in for the second tire rotation at 10000 miles and was told by the dealer I need tires. I'm nearly to the wear bar. I told the dealer I was shocked to hear that because I had 10863 miles on the car and rotated them at 5000 and then now. After thinking about it, I wrote Michelin a letter explaining who upset I was to hear I needed tires after only having the car 10 months. They told me to go back to my dealer and have the dealer file a claim with Michelin. I'm waiting for a response back from my dealer as to the results of the claim.

Well it looks like someone making the decisions finally listened to us and has made interior color choices availible on the 2014 Titainium models of the Escape and Fusion.....Black is not the only color of choice !!! According to the order guides the Ti Escape will have Mediium Light Stone availible and the Ti Fusion will have Medium Soft Ceramic and another "appearance option" of Brick Red. It'll be nice to have a choice again !!

Just read that the new 2014 Cadillac CTS will offer 8 different choices of interiors ! Now that's giving the customer what they want. I've always said I can understand possibly having just one choice of color for a "base" model but never can or will understand why Ford doesn't offer the choice on their top of the line Ti. We'll, maybe they'll listen soon their customers prefer having a choice.....I'll probably wait for the CTS.

Well, finally got to the dealership and really didn't resolve a thing......the sunroof does not open all the way! It's a two stage - you hit the button once, it opens 3/4 of the way....you hit the button again....it opens another two inches (if that) and that's it. I was told all Focus sunroofs are this way and none of them open "all the way" like the larger SUV's. The trip wasn't a waste of time....the leather off the left boltser of my driver's seat start wearing off after 3200 miles !!! I'll be back to the dealer again !!

As I looked for another car this spring, I thought I would like to change from a car to a small SUV and purchase a '13 Escape. I normally purchase or lease a vehicle with all the bells and whistles. When the Escape finally arrived at our local dealership, I was ready to buy until I found out the "top of the line" Titanium model only came with a BLACK interor. Well, since I moved to Florida I have never purchased a car with a black interior due to the heat and I would think black would retain it. Well, I decided not to get the Escape and decided to wait on the '13 Fusion........and guess what? If I was interested in the Titanium model, I could only get a BLACK interior ! Why would FMC only offer one interior choice on their top of the line models? I could understand a base model not having a choice......but the top of the line???? WHY???? I did finally puchase my third choice..........a Focus Titanium.....I had the choice of the Arctic White option !!!!!! Just wondering.............................................!

Holding the button doesn't work..........I called the dealership and he said they may be a programming issue with the motor itself. I'll take it in for service next week and find out.

Yeah, the mileage is coming from the readout. Just looked and it's 22.9 but I do a lot of start and stop driving within a home development.....and that may be the reason why. I just expected more. And like to agreed, I think I'll give the trans 1000 miles to see if it smooths out.

I've had my 2012 Titanium for about a week and as I've read in this thread....the trans shifts very hard especially 1st to 2nd. My salesman said I should probably wait until I get about 1000 miles on the car before I take it in for service to look at. Also, I'm only getting about 23 mpg in the city and wondering if this trans issue would have anything to do with the poor mpg's. Any ideas out there???

Just purchased 2012 white Titanium w/ auto trans. Not too impressed. Only getting 22.6 but only have 250 miles on it and nearly all city driving.

The temp article was very interesting ....................... but I guess my point was on interiors, if you're going to purchase the "premium" model, give the customer a choice of colors.....doesn't have to be many but something other than black. If you buying a base model, then I could understand the reasoning to offer only 1 color without a choice. It just doesn't make sense to me and I think it's going to hurt sales.

Does anyone have any idea why a black interior is the only choice you have when purchasing any Titanium model in the Ford line up, not just the new Fusion?? I can't believe we don't have a choice of colors when purchasing the "top of the line" model. I live in Florida where you try to stay away from black because of the heat. And choice of colors are very limited when you do get a choice......very opposite of what GM is offering.
