I am in stamping so I don't know for sure, but a supervisor told me MAP is only going 4 hours. I don't know what kind of affect that will have on body or stamping if any
Anyone know the reason behind MAP working 10.5 hours everyday when there is talk of multiple layoffs between now and the end of the year. Makes no sense to me.
They have said in the team leader meetings that the week of 5/5 and 6/23 were talked about along with the June 30 shutdown week. I also heard another week along with the August shutdown.
I just wondered how the tool and die at ISA and/or MAP like the AWS. I may have an opportunity to get into tool and die at ISA/MAP and wanted some input from anyone who is currently working tool and die there. I worked as a tool and die apprentice before and was laid off after completing my apprenticeship. I haven't worked tool and die since and that's been almost 10 years ago now. I'm just worried that I won't get the retraining that I need and that they will expect me to know more than I will because its been so long. I am currently working in ISA on the line right now. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have heard they are looking for 6 temp. tool and die at the Saline plant. Anyone else heard or have more info? I guess sign up is until 5pm tomorrow(Friday).
I guess I should have checked about this earlier in the week, but does Ford still file our claims for unemployment or do we have to do this ourselves? I am working in Saline, but laid off this week due to DTP being down. Thanks
I was off work today but heard rumor that AAI was going to run out of parts and have the rest of the week off again. Anyone from A shift on here tonight?
My guess is that whatever happens with the people at Saline, it will be that same for the people at Sheldon Rd. I am a temp. at AAI that came from Sheldon Rd. Trades. So I am trying to figure out whats going to happen to the temps who went to AAI.
