  1. We had some people that came from Sandusky I believe it was, probably a couple years agoor more, that were two tier, and already on a list to go to Kentucky, that went. And We at Walton Hills also had entry level employees go to Sharonville, and Lima Engine also. And offers to Entry level to Dearborn most recently. But our plant has been closed....
  2. Great post ohiouawguy.... Very heartfelt! It's nice to see there are a few of us Walton Hills people on here still! We sure did have a family feel there, and quite a mish mosh of plants all rolled in together. Many fine friendships have been forged there. I wish You happiness at Brook Park, and will be there soon myself. This will be my third plant, and while I am very nervous about starting over again new place, new people, different work, at least we can continue to work for Ford, and seek each other out as we all eventually make our way there. Again, best of luck to You, and all of us!
  3. Right on mnm....... There were a couple things posted today on Facebook, and I guess because we at Walton Hills had a much earlier closing date, and it just drug onnn and onnn.....I was saying today, the other plants had media coverage... kinda like a formal good-bye, acknowledgment that it at least existed......Very sad days. Hell it's been sad since the closing announcement for us all. Best wishes to You, and all the fine people from Walton Hills..Past, and present..........May she R.I.P.
  4. What ever ends up happening to Woodhaven, I wish you all well. Walton Hills was supposed to close pretty much July 3rd, but the pressroom is still running. Most of us are layed off, and those of us that made the list to go to Brook park are just waiting to get our date.Plant closings are a bad thing to go through, it's been real hard watching that place get picked apart. I would have loved to stay there for the duration of my employment, but that's not happening obviously. Just because they are looking for Supervisors at Woodhaven don't mean squat. They brought in a lot of retired people and others so that some of our supervisors could transfer out to other plants.I wouldn't wish this plant closing on any plant anywhere. When Lorain closed we shut her down the correct day they said it would happen. None of this lingering on business that's happening to Walton Hills. Been hard seein our people take transfers all over, but hey, it's been a good run. As I said I wish Woodhaven, and all other plants the best.
  5. I've owned a 1977 F150 4x4, a 1978 F150 4x4, a1986 F150 4x4, a1987 F150 4x4, and my all time pride and joy, my 2003 F250 4x4 crew cab, V10, 6 spd manual. She was the only brand new vehicle I bought brand new, and paid for all by my lonesome! But she met an untimely demise back in October , and hit the scrap yard. But my search for a replacement will go on...And I've owned a 1971 Torino, a Pinto or two, back in the day....and a 1977 Thunderbird, which was one hell of a nice ride......Trucks are the best though!!!!!!
  6. I wondered what you had against Ohio.....But now I see! That's some funny shit!
  7. Tell it like it is Decker!!!....Thanks for keeping it lively!!!!
  8. Best of luck to all of you. I hope it all works out better than it did here!
  9. I'm glad your hard work paid off for you!, and your post is spot on, seen it hear at Walton Hills too. Even with training, and education, finding another job, especially when your older can be rough! Great post!
