  1. Thanks for the complement fordMichiganman....love when people from other plants like to jump in here and tell us how OUR plant is...btw, stick your head up your ass and see if it fits!!!!
  2. Woodhaven is toast................
  3. fordmichiganman, if it is more than .50 please do tell....I currently work at the plant and have so for 28yrs...this is news to me....BTW no AWS as of yet, probably not for some time.
  4. The new hire electricians/skilled trades make .50 less than the legacy tradesman....or $32.85 per hour.
  5. Die...Trades DO need their own bargaining rep for one simple reason...we HAD the best skilled trades agreement in ALL of Ford Motor Company prior to our last contract...Due to the non-skilled inability/uneducated bargainers negotiating for us it was lost it, with all the language that kept us working. Current day we still have contractors in here doing work that we could be doing, along with contractors in here working on the weekends while some of our skilled brothers and sisters are sitting at home not being offered....This is only a couple of the reasons why we NEED a skilled bargaining rep.
  6. When I am told by Saline union officials that they are leary about taking on AAI skilled trades people because of our modern work agreement, and questioning just how much we actually know in our trade, I have a big problem. Last I checked we went thru the same Ford Joint Apprenticeship as everyone else! Maybe when Saline finally shuts the doors to Ford employees and all you tradesmen are shoved up AAI's ass we should give you the same treatment!!! !! Bitter...yea you could say that
  7. And on the skilled trade end....there have probably been 100+ skilled trades members that were forces back to production that have gone thru saline. With their trades working 7/12s do ya think those greedy bastards would take on any of those members....HELL NO! Hope they all get a nice welcome at other facilities when Faurecia takes over.....just sayin'
  8. Bronco, the "modern work agreement" was geared more toward the skillled trades end. Maint. has always been lean since day one, with only three classifications, electrician, machine repair and tool and die.
  9. So carguy are you saying we should "bend over, grab our ankles and take it like a man"......your a idiot . It makes zero (0) sense to close/ not give product to a facility that they all want to be like.... ie, modern work agreement, flexable work force, can produce high volumes w/quality when given the opportunity.....you have got to be salary......my two cents.
  10. Yes indeed, I hope your all welcomed with that Dark/Light Blue crap you pulled on everyone else that came to Saline......enjoy your assembly line assignments in trim and final.......the flame is finally starting to flicker!
  11. Dearborn and AAI have some nice jobs waiting for all those "dark blue" people who thought they were king shit with little or no senority.........teeheehee
  12. With @ 500 strong at Saline, aka "AAI WEST", is ripe for a change of the guard.........just sayin'
  13. But Saline is the cornerstone of Ford Motor Company......just ask anyone there!........lmao
  14. Sanduskyman you have no idea what your talking about. I worked on that line for a brief time while I was laid of in skilled trades. There are "light blue" and "orange" both making up that line, only a couple "dark blue". Although I despised the time I was there I can say one thing, those "orange" people worked their asses off!!! The whole department is a joke with a crazy supervisor, can't remember her name, (skinny older black lady), she was nuts!!! I got into it with her the second day I was there about workstandards, line cycle time and ergonomics. The whole facility is one BIG JOKE and anyone thinking there will be a blue oval outside should wake up fast, especially the dark blue one's!
  15. My only question is why wasn't the openings posted at AAI? We still have laid off electricians working in production at our plant.
