The Green Gem Metallic is gorgeous, looks almost black until you get it in the sunlight, then it gleams. I wish I could find some pictures that do it justice...

I have the 2011 Edge SE FWD with 18" wheels and Michelin tires. We took it to Maine for Christmas and negotiated through at least 6" of unplowed snow with no problem. I am averaging around 22 MPG with normal driving, slightly higher on the highway. While I have ridden around in the 2011 Explorer, I haven't really had a chance to drive it for any length of time, but initial reports from customers is that they love it. As NickF1011 said, the two vehicles are very similar so it comes down to what you need in a vehicle.

Erika Sorry to have not responded sooner. I really like the Med Blue. It even looks good dirty I now have over 7k miles on my Edge. I tell people most every day how much I love it. Rides great, handles well and is really comfortable.

Well, mine isn't AWD, it is a 2011 Edge SEL with 18" Michelin tires. We took it to Maine for Christmas and found that it drove through 6" or more of new snow like a tank. Very stable and had great traction.

You could also go with a King Ranch, which has the woodgrain, but its darker. Or build an XLT with EcoBoost, though this might not have all of the options available that you want...

I have a 2011 SEL with MyFord Touch and find the screen to be pretty responsive. Like someone else said, it might take a second to react, but I don't have to touch it hard to get it to work. I don't know about remote start on SEL. But I did get the All weather floor mats from the factory. I really like them and think they will hold up well. They are different from 2010, there is another thread somewhere that talks about the mats. I am going to invest in the cargo area mat as things seem to slide around on the carpet back there... Overall really love my Edge. So glad I waited for a 2011.

We just received our first two stock units today. I really am impressed with the interior and exterior changes they have made! I can't wait for my very own special order unit to arrive!

We have several stock units here on the lot...6.2 and 6.7L. So far the reception has been really good.
