From what I have read this issue is just a grounding problem. They painted where the ground lead is connected....oops!!

It would be very interesting if Ford sent a limited run of the Ford Metal Ka over here to play havoc with Chrysler and Fiat!! The Ka has a much nicer interior, as compared with the 500 which just bad.

Of course sales are going to be up anytime that you are giving the product away. Of course the fact remains that they are still sitting on a great deal of old stock that they cannot move!! The Fusion is a great car, as I am sure the Taurus also is, but Ford should bring over the Mondeo to destroy the Buick line of products.

The current Escape is getting old, so will Ford bring the Kuga to replace the Escape, or will go right to the Vertrek? I think that they should go right to the Vertrek, even though I also think that the Kuga is nicer than the current Escape. The discussion about making a Lincoln version of the Escape/Kuga is very interesting, because I believe Mercedes has been successful with the CLK-Class. I think that it is do-able and might actually help the Lincoln label.

The new Ford Ranger looks good and fun!

People have a hard time with the size of the Ford Fiesta in North America. I do not see how the Fiat 500 will be very successful, but perhaps initially as a fad. Chrysler has nothing to offer the public!

My girlfriend purchase a Fiesta SES at the beginning of the year, and I am waiting for my 2012 Focus Titanium. My impressions of the transmission are that it appears to be flawless and smooth, though I thought it seemed a little rough at the beginning, but not now. The reviews on the Focus also seem to indicate that the transmission is better than in the Fiesta. BTW, I live in Ottawa, Canada, so your concerns about cold weather are not a problem.

Ford could put either a 1.4L or 1.6L Ecoboost engine into the Focus and be the absolute class leader!

Their is no doubt that the Honda Civic will sell, but I think they should go back to the drawing board when it comes to this new design. If they release this car they will do nothing but loose market share.

It appears to be GMs answer to Ford's Kuga, or more importantly the Vertrek. If they gave it the green light they are also trying to rush it into the market before Ford gets things going with the Vertrek. At least the Vertrek is an attractive vehicle!

It should be an option, but perhaps they prefer give the business to the aftermarket industry. I think if Ford used the Euro LED headlights in the North American Focus that they would see a greater market share in the compact category, and have an even greater chance of overtaking the sales leading Honda Civic. They should sell the Euro headlights as an optional accessory!

When is the C-Max expected to be available? I thought that it was Fall 2011.

I do no mind waiting, but I also would not mind if they had my Titanium shipped over from Europe with the 1.6L Ecoboost (180hp). It does reassure me that they are taking their time to ensure that the cars are perfect before handing them out.

Ford has had to make big and important strategic decisions in regards to the brands that it owns and produces. They did not have the luxury of being given $60 Billion dollars + having their debt canceled like other car companies. I think they have done a great job, and should be rewarded for their efforts by the public and government! The government should offer them extra tax incentives for a limited time.

GM was sitting on a great deal of stock that they just could not sell, and I would like to say that they still have a lot of old stock sitting in their car lots. Since they have so much old stock, and since they spend so much on advertising they have to try and push for volume sales to stay alive. Perhaps my perspective is a little different being Canadian, but I do not understand why anyone would consider supporting GM, a company that should be history and should have been broken up and sold off. I do not think Hyundai has to do a thing, because they now have a great product and are able to compare apples with apples. Truth be told, I am still leery of their quality.
