Hello,
If you get a chance to run an update again just to see if hopefully it has a shot at shipping or whatever, that would be swell...thanks!
VIN: 1FMHK8F82BGA44838
Looking through the tracking forum, it looks like in most cases it takes about a week or 2 (best case) once it's been produced to make it to its final destination. It looks like there were some Explorers that were held up before shipping though so that they could re-work something and that may delay things if it happens.
Maybe it has something to do with the 302A. It looks like an earlier poster had an order placed within a couple weeks of yours (also 302A) and hasn't received a VIN or anything.
Found the paperwork....according to that:
Description: Recall 10B15, reprogram PCM, replace clutches, seals, and filter.
The line items:
Reprogram PCM
C Control ASY - Transmission
G Kit - Gasket
Sealant - Silicone
QLVC Oil - Automatic Transmission
Not the whole transmission....I'll see if I can dig up the paperwork to see what exactly they replaced.
On a side note, they mentioned they were supposed to send us a recall notice for it, but we never got it (their excuse was because 'we already got it fixed'), did anyone else get one of those?
If I understood what I read correctly from the manual, you would only need the USB dongle to be your internet source (i.e. connect to AT&T or Verizon or whatever). If you were parked next to a starbucks you could get the Explorer to connect to their WiFi and broadcast that internally throughout the explorer (no need for USB). Granted, I won't get to try that out for a few more weeks, but that's just how I interpreted the info.
Hello, thanks again for taking the time out of your day to check status for folks. If you get a chance, do you mind checking the status of the following:
VIN: 1FMHK8F82BGA44838
Order Date: sometime around 2/14.
Thanks!
I think the keypad on the Explorer XLT looks pretty nice....it looks like it's some what embedded into the door instead of being those tacky looking buttons right below the window.
I think the transmission issue on the Fusion is a common thing (TSB was issued I think). But once we got ours fixed on the SE (V6) it's been fine ever since, I think it's been about a year since it was replaced.
I also ended up getting both....I miss not having a sunroof in my Mustang, so I had to get it on my Explorer. Just need to wait a few more weeks (crosses fingers)
I guess the only other place I could think of if it's not in-dash or embedded in the rear view would be a few characters in the radio display. Wish I had mine so I could tell you
