  1. 2016 MKX with Sync 3 UPDATE from Dealer - Friday Dec 11.2015 Well after a few days the dealer called and we hope they had the car from the other dealership and ready for pickup. He said we thought the car arrived at the other dealership 200 miles north of me. In actuality the car was still in transit by train and has not arrived. LOL He is now trying to get the train to drop it off here in Phoenix and says it should be here before Christmas. Let's hope or my wife is going to be totally pissed. So bare with me folks on the ongoing saga of the 2016 MKX with Sync 3 trying to make it to the warm state of Arizona. LOL
  2. Yep been doing it correctly but seems not to work on IE11 or my computer. Weird. Thanks
  3. You are correct. FWD is 3.39. OK now that is solved I need to know why when I select quote your msg it never shows up. So I have to write without your msg. quoted. Hummm. lol
  4. With further research I found that the 3.7L V6 shows 3.39/3.65 ration. I'm guessing it means the 3.7L V6 has 3.39 is final gear and 3.65 in Overdrive and The 2.7L Eco V6 engine shows 3.16 final gear and 3.39 in Overdrive Learning more each day. Thanks
  5. I have noticed the 2016 MKX has different differential ratios available. 3.16 and 3.39 I have 3.39 in my MKX but wanted to ask which is better for mpg or why the difference rations. Engines types? What is the standard for the V6 Regular gas engine? Hopefully this is in the right forum to ask a technical question like this. If not please transfer to the correct area. Thanks
  6. Hi All As some of you may have know I have been looking for my MKX and my local dealer found one here in Arizona with window sticker build date of Nov 24,2015 but other data says it was built Dec 4, 2015 It has the Sync 3. I went with the SELECT with the 101A features because I didn't want the moon roof. But I did get everything I wanted. What I can tell it must have been put on the train quickly and delivered here in Arizona in record time. Specs: FWR , V-6 (regular gas) Ruby Red with clearcoat Upgraded Cappuccino leather seats both driver and passenger 10 way power All the rest of the standard features. It has the Climate optional package which is heated mirrors, steering wheel etc. I also got the Navigational Package. Anyway it has to be driven in from Lake Havasu Arizona which is about 200 miles away. Got a fair deal with a few incentives and we are happy. Pictures coming soon. Iggy in the cool part of Arizona.
  7. Robert by any chance do you have an upgrades Order Guide for the MKX with the Sync3 system? I need to print a copy out to order my MKX with the Sync3 in it. Thanks
  8. Can anyone tell me what major differences in the 2015 and 2016 Edge Titanium other than getting the SYNC 3? I'm now can compare the Lincoln 2016 MKX Reserve and the 2016 Ford Edge Titanium. It is the same frames, V6 engine, trans, seats and even have the same option packages with all the bells and whistles. The Ford has 3 year 36,000 mile warranty and the MKX has 4 year and 50,000 miles warranty. The MKX has the push button transmission instead of the stick. Hummmmm. Decisions, decisions.... The MKX is about $5,000 more. Is it worth it?
  9. Thanks for the 2016 Edge order guide. So can anyone tell what actually the difference is in the 2015 compared tot he 2016 other than the getting the SYNC 3 now? Maybe I need to ask this question in a separate thread. Thanks
  10. Just got a call from my dealer and he is expecting some 2016 MKX's arriving with hopefully with the Sync 3's in them. Looks like we will get a MKX Reserve with the regular gas V6 and all the bells and whistles. NO Sun Roof We are going with the Bronze Fire Metallic with clearcoat and the Cappuccino interior with the wood finish. If he doesn't get one in I may have to order it. I hate to wait but he said I can come by and drive the MKX's he has to satisfy my cravings.
  11. Hi All Well we stopped by our local Lincoln dealer who had a 2016 MKX and a 2015 Edge Titanium ready to see and test drive. Things I noticed. 1. The naturally aspirated V6 in the MKX has more HP/torque then the Edge. Very noticeable difference when driving and heavy acceleration. 2. I like the exterior of the MKX compared to the Edge. Tires and rims about the same. 3. MKX has nice features which the Edge didn't have. a. Push button transmission b. Electrical back seats fold down from the rear compartment switch c. Interior looked cleaner with more storage space in console. d. The MKX had the automatic folding side mirrors when parked. e. The MKX weight was 5,500 lbs. if I remember correctly and the Edge weight was a few hundred less. f. They both had the old Ford Touch Navigation and I definitely want the Sync 3.0 Navagation g. The drivers instrument panel was cleaner and easier to read (for an old guy) These are a few things I noticed but overall my guy is getting in some new MKX's next week with the Sync 3.0 and NO Vista Roof. Don't need this in Arizona lol OK folks I'm now going for a 2016 MKX and the difference is between $3,000 and $4,000 more than the Edge. If what he told me today he can get me one the color and all the options in Select Group 102A Select Option Group he says he can get it just over $44,000 without considering any incentives which should be about $1,500 So that about $42,500 before tax and Lic. I think its a good deal and I'm ready to rock and roll. What do you folks think? Thanks and if anyone want to make the first payment for me I'm ready.
  12. Thank you akirby for your in formation about build time. Now I have to wonder if I should wait until they build a few thousand before I buy. That way I don't get an early one that may have issues. Thanks
  13. I'm planning on buying a new 2016 Edge and wondered if I should worry about long wait time if I order in December? It seems a new year model usually takes 6 to 8 weeks or longer. Could someone enlighten my thoughts about the time frame I should prepare for. Thank you IggyAZ in the cool part of Arizona
  14. Sullynd You have a 2016 Edge Platinum? Did you mean to say 2015. I didn't think they were off the line yet.
  15. Update: Dec 3, 2015 No comparison and I'm going with a 2016 MKX RESERVE. Love it and won't look back. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Original Message My wife and I are looking into buying either the 2016 MKX RESERVE or the full blown 2016 Edge Titanium. The differences are few but I'm sure you may all may know more. Hopefully your help us make the decision. The difference is the MKX is about $10,000 more than the Edge. I want the V6 that is not Eco\ I don't need all wheel drive do we are considering just front wheel drive. The MKX engines has a bit more HP and torque than the Edge version. The MKX has a much nice dash and interior and do like the push button transmission instead of the stick console. We don't expect to take any really long trips with it as I also have a smaller car for local shopping and stuff. The Lincoln MKX is definitely a classy car when side by side with the Edge. So this is where I stand so far. The MKX 2016's are available but the 2016 Edge won't be at the dealers until the end of Dec or in January 2016. So let the question start. Thanks Iggy in the cool part of Arizona
  16. Did you buy it thru Costco and delivery thru Chapman Ford in Scottsdale? Which model you getting? The Titanium with what extras? What price range is the car in if you don't mind telling. Thanks Iggy in Surprise AZ
  17. akirby The only thing that I hesitating to buy a sport is that it has the stiffer suspension. It looks as if I may consider the Lincoln MKX which has the higher hp V6 and lots of extras ylu can't get on the Edge. Time will tell which way I plan to go. Do you think the Lincoln MKX has a quieter interior from road noise?
  18. I agree with your remarks about the 2.7L only being available in the Sport. I did find that the Lincoln MKX you get the larger engine as standard but you pay a lot more for the car.
  19. Did you see the new 2016 Edge at the car show last week?
  20. Thanks David. If it doesn't have Sync 3 I don't plan on buying either. I will check the fleet order guide. Not sure what dealer I will use but Sanderson Ford usually has a big selection when they arrive. Didn't think about going to the auto show but may consider that. Thanks John in Surprise.
  21. It's time to look at a replacement vehicle. I have looked at the 2015 EDGE but the prices are stable and not really offering much here in Arizona. My plan is to hold out for the new 2016 for a Titanium FWD with the V6. Unless if someone can talk me out of it I'm sticking with the V6 as a little more hp and torque is good. Anyway, has anyone heard for sure if the 2016 will get the Sync 3.0 or not? Not much published yet if it will or not. After reading here that 2016 EDGE should be at dealers in January will be great! I do plan on trying to get a X-Plan code to help a little. This will be my 10the or 11th Ford so I guess I'm family for sure. lol If anyone has any information on the 2016 Edges I'm here. Thanks Iggy in the cool part of Arizona.
