  1. I leased a new 2017 C max last week 3yr lease and received a letter today from Ford Credit advising me of a $248 Disposition Fee on my lease agreement. I could not find it stated on my contract and the Ford Credit rep thought that it might be something new but she wasn't sure. Anyone hear of this?
  2. How about those flashy 'cops are pigs' yellow socks he wore?
  3. One of the main culprits is Martha Firestone and her big hatred towards our president. She couldn't care less how her negative comments could affect our sales. She sits in her mansion and is financially comfortable because of her name! Hopelessly confused and close minded!
  4. I respect your comment, however, it should be known the Toyotas were allowed a new template that Brad has repeatedly mentioned. NASCAR, has refused to evaluate the manufacturers , as they always have done in the past, when an unfair advantage is apparent. I'm talking 88% leading laps of the last 5-7 races with Toyota....and NASCAR has ignored any involvement. I enjoy competition....but this is ridiculous....! Have you noticed the ONLY opposition to Brad's comments are the leading Toyota drivers?
  5. I think this Ford driver is definitely correct about how NASCAR allows Toyota to obviously dominate the series. As the journalist concludes...NASCAR has done nothing to stop it. Congratulations to Brad for speaking out ...and facing the Toyota drivers who hate him for speaking the truth. (Yes, I am a true blue Ford guy) https://sports.yahoo.com/kyle-busch-denny-hamlin-respond-brad-keselowskis-tweet-toyotas-213147248.html
  6. Can anyone help me get a status on my new 2017 C-MAX (VIN 1FADP5DU7HL117226). All I'm told is it's "processing" for later part of September.
  7. Since brand loyalty seems to have diminished and what wins on Sunday doesn't sell on Monday...maybe Ford should follow Dodge and pull out? How many non-sponsor millions is Ford spending to keep the Blue Oval in the Monster Series? Brad Kezelowski saw the writing on the wall in the truck series and pulled out. Everyone knows that Toyota has much more money and technology invested and will ,if not already, totally dominate the series. In order to win and not just compete , Ford will need much more investment than Doug Yates building engines compared to the giant Toyota Racing Division. Is it worth it? I think Dodge knew that and pulled out. They didn't really lose any sales after that. Do you really think Ford would sell more Fusions than Camrys if they started winning again?
  8. I was watching some of the Darlington Race yesterday on cable, since the regular networks didn't carry it. Of course the Toyotas dominated, but was interested in some of the commentary from Ned Jarrett and others about the mostly full attendance. I had to do some research and discovered interesting statistics. Darlington has removed almost 10,000 seats in just over 2 seasons. In addition I noticed huge reductions in other mostly popular tracks (attached) that lead me to believe this sport is not sustaining its popularity as it has in the many previous decades. The millennial age is not much interested. https://beta.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/interactive-nascar-tracks-removing-hundreds-of-thousands-of-seats/article24857227/?ref=https://www.theglobeandmail.com&
  9. Challenger has never outsold Mustang except this past month. Mustang is still about 10,000 ahead YTD. However, Camaro and Challenger are neck in neck for YTD sales. Interesting to see both Camaro and Challenger are continuing to get police pursuit sales. Also noticed Challenger had the SXT lease special for August with 12000 yearly mileage.
  10. Just noticed strong sales for Chevy Malibu, Equinox and Cruze. Also noticed those 3 models were offering the best lease incentives for August of all the competitors.
  11. Agreed...that's why I would like to get the drivers Windows blended with the rear Windows a little bit. None of these detailers use tint meters (Enforcer, etc) to determine the actual percentage of light. If you are pulled over for excessive tint it's a fine up to $200....PLUS POINTS!!!!
  12. Do you know what type (dyed, metallized, ceramic)...and did they lightly blend the drivers side Windows...or just the back and rear Windows?
  13. The dealer sends it out to a detail shop. I discovered there are many different brands and types of material. SunTek and 3M are most common...but there is dyed tint, metallized, stable, ceramic etc...plus percentages. My state allows 35% front, 50% maximum for side and rear Windows. Detailers are not certified. I also believe the production vehicles probably already have a slight tint in the glass. So it's hard to determine what accurate match to factory tint is preferred.
  14. I am seriously considering tinting my Windows on my C-Max when it arrives at the dealer next month. The dealer charges $300. Does anyone have any comments on tinted windows on their C-Max? I prefer factory installed, but you can't get that option on the C-Max and I heard they might have to take the door panels off...ugh! Here is an example of what it should look like.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iPJl6iNV6M4
  15. Well, this article about Spec engines for the failing Truck Series might be a start. However, Toyota is totally against it. I wonder why!! http://autoweek.com/article/nascar/nascar-trucks-crossroads-teams-shutting-down-impending-spec-engine-program
  16. I must say, as a Ford faithful, last night's humiliating Toyota dominant 1-2-3-4 victory and Kyle Busch, in your face, brooming arrogance is sending a clear message to the competitors.
  17. Not just Ford. Remember how the "honest Joe" Toyota team was caught cheating when the dyno test uncovered the hidden magnets after the MIS race. http://www.foxnews.com/story/2008/08/18/nascar-uncovers-cheating-by-joe-gibbs-racing.html
  18. In my opinion it's much more than the driver and that is why NASCAR would impound the finishers and evaluate the cars after a race to perform DYNO tests to see who, if any, had a horsepower advantage. It was often common place years ago before Toyota. Bottom line, it kept the competition on a fair playing field. NASCAR is not that popular anymore and what "won on Sunday sold on Monday" is history.
  19. It is better engineering which obviously gives them an advantage, however, NASCAR is also responsible, as in the past, to keep an even playing field which should include testing/comparing the competitors after the race. They have NOT done that so far, and I hope they use Darlington rather than Bristol for the comparison.
  20. I had to post this article on how TRD is incredibly high tech with research and development (2 Major facilities)..SALISBURY, N.C. -- If Toyota teams appear to be winning most of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races these days -- and the latest numbers support such a belief -- perhaps part of the reason for that success can be traced from the race tracks to the team shops to here. Here being Toyota Racing Development, or TRD, one of two such venues where the focus is on just that and nothing more. Toyotas. Racing. And development. Except for a sign mounted on the outside wall facing the parking lot, the building is a nondescript brick, block and glass structure tucked back off the highway and surrounded by trees. Inside, however, reside various pieces of equipment that can measure and simulate any race setup under any given condition. There is a pull-down rig, an eight-post shaker rig, an AVCS (advanced vehicle cornering simulator) that also measures center of gravity height, and a full-blown race simulator in which drivers can log laps at just about any track on the series' schedules. The facility, isn't Sprint Cup specific. XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series teams have access to the facility and the tools within as well. A similar facility located in Costa Mesa, California, has been around a good bit longer. The focus there is on the design and development, testing and production of race engines.
  21. Another sign of how Toyota is developing into a dominant force in NASCAR. The truck series is just another example. Ford lost any competitive challenge to Toyota, thanks to TRD....so they are pulling out. As Bart Simpson says: "can't win, why try!" http://www.nascar.com/news-media/2017/08/17/brad-keselowski-racing-will-end-operations-end-2017/
  22. I didn't realize how Dodge Promaster has captured the USPS business. Over 12,000 units and additional 3500 from last September. I wonder why Ford didn't compete...or maybe they did. Either way, Promasters are the van of choice! (I just love that beautiful front fascia)http://www.autonews.com/article/20150214/OEM/302169967/postal-services-next-gen-van-carries-a-%246-billion-prize#
