a friend's ranger had a random issue like that too. In the left turn lane his truck just quit and it was the fuel shut off switch. I don't remember if the dealer replaced something or not when he brought it in. I think the 'substantial jolt' may mean something like crashing through a brick wall. lol or an accident.

bilsteins are great, but i think the hd's might be a bit overkill. I have bilsteins on my ranger and I like them.

www.ranger-forums.com is a good one too. as for front brakes, I had a set of napa's and they were worthless. They were almost as bad for brake dust as the stock ones too. A few months ago I replaced my rotors and pads with raybestos ceramic pads and so far I like them a lot.

it's dead, except for some of the L2's equipment is available as options now.

my parents' '06 seems to be nowhere near as bad as their '03. The 2003 wheels had to be washed every couple days until they switched to ceramic pads.

lol, settle down! I see the 07's everyday when I drive down the road. They look pretty cool. You know how the rear doors cut around the wheel on the regular expy? On the EL the door is foward of the wheel which should make it easer to get in the back. They're nice, or at least they look it.

wow, here we go again. the news stations are broadcasting from the front of the plant and hyping things up again. I hope the wayne plants are going to be ok otherwise this city will become another flint.

so if the Twin Cities plant will be closed, where will the mighty Ranger call home? I hope it won't be making a run for the border lol. Ideas?

I saw a truck load of them get on 275 north today. And they've got lots and lots of them in the lot at the plant ready to go.

I've been seeing the new expedition and navigator more and more lately. They go past my house on their way back to the plant. Also, over the 4th of july weekend, I saw I saw the expedition XL. Yeah, you can tell it's bigger. The back side window is longer and the door doesn't cut into the wheel well. It for sure looked bigger than the regular expedition. I didn't like the grill though. I look foward to the next couple weeks to see the 07's in the lot at the plant.

whoa, cracks in the leather? not good! my parents' 03 and now their 06 (to an extent) has this super annoying rattle in the headliner above the second row on the passenger side. I swear it's something in the duct work up there viberating. It gets on my nerves cause I'm the one that rides back there. It only does it in the winter though so I guess it's tolerable.

yeah I have found that after driving a distance where it gets hot enough it does go away. But when it makes that noise I feel like a dummy and that everyone is looking at my truck thinking that it's a piece of crap!!

anyone else have a squealing belt? Ever since we hade a huge rainstorm in november mine, along with many other rangers have had a noisey belt. On mine, at least, it only does it on a damp or rainy day. With the hood open and engine running it's really hard to pinpoint where it's coming from. It almost can be described as a bad bearing, but i don't think that's the case. So anyways, anyone else have this issue? How much does a new serp. belt cost?
