Had the same thing sent to me long ago, and to date, the airbag has never been replaced. I'm in your boat, it's kind of scary, but it's not just Ford, it's any company that Takata supplied which is a long list.
I'm amazed that Ford doesn't have this yet. Don't Chevy and a few other companies already have apps to connect to your vehicle from your phone. Not necessarily for command start but for things like making sure the doors are locked or as a locator at the mall so you remember where you parked (I don't have this issue just a thought lol)
I second this as dealing with your dealership or salesman doesn't always work out. I've been told 3 differnt dealer codes from my dealership that I ordered the vehicle from and 4 weeks later am still waiting for any info and I don't want to constantly call my dealership for updates.
Well I was a member years ago, but forgot my info so I had created a new account under Cdnpony but found my login info for this account lol. Just ordered myself a new Mustang GT on February 20th, getting antsy now since it still hasn't been scheduled or have a VIN. It's true that waiting is the hardest part. Hope to learn lots from these forums!
Just a quick question for you guys. I ordered a 2016 GT Premium with the performance pack on February 20th. I contacted the dealership today and they said it's showing unscheduled clean. Should it take this long to get a vin and be scheduled for build?
