  1. Car came in on Sat and I went to the dealer to see it before it was prepped. Now its off to get tinted and detailed. Getting a paint inspection and polish if needed and sealing it with Optimum Opti-coat to keep it protected for years to come. Thanks again for all your help and time tracking!
  2. Thank you very much! I appreciate all your help. Hopefully this will be the last update before I get the car but we all know that an ETA is just that. I will get a picture for you once I take delivery.
  3. Thanks Bump for weekly update VIN #2FMDK3AK1CBA48392
  4. Thanks again! Hope it's on it's way. Bump for weekly update VIN #2FMDK3AK1CBA48392
  5. Glad to hear it's going to work out for you. I take delivery next week so I will be checking for any issues. I highly recomend using Optimum Protectant Plus to keep it looking new http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-protectant-plus.html I gets really good reviews on all the big detailing forums. I hate shiney dressings and this stuff has a perfect satin finish!
  6. I just got my VIN #2FMDK3AK1CBA48392 last week. I am starting a thread to track the delivery. It's been 11 weeks already since I ordered.
  7. How long do they usually take to send ut the packets? my car wont be here for another 15-20 days.
  8. The new Kias do look much better than what Honda is pushing.
  9. Hopefully it's 550+. Would be some serious power.
  10. I really like the style of both. Although the Ford looks like a lot will need to be changed for production. The Mazda looks more like a production model.
  11. I considered the Evoque as it really is a great design. I was steered away from general quality issues with all Land Rovers. They work better than most when new but slowly things start to go and it's non stop. The fit and finish is excellent on these so it was hard to pass up. It also felt a little like a chick crossover. Optioned out the way I wanted it was oabout 10K more than the loaded Edge Sport I have on order. I really like the style of the Edge Sport over the Evoque except the interior of the Evoque kills the Edge no question. Without the Edge sport I would not consider and Edge. I hate the look of the regular edge.
  12. My first car was a manual 4 door 96 civic and it was a great car. Lots of kids wanted them around that time (early 2002-2004). Now it seems like they just lost their desire from that age group wanting a good cheap first car. There are too many other options that are cheaper now.
  13. I requested them too so hopefully I can apply this to my Edge on order too. I will update if it works. Should be getting my edge at the end of the month (been waiting 9 weeks already)
  14. I am not a fan of HID kits but the Edge is an exception where it is not bad. The stock bi-halogen projectors are actually quite good and are safe for use with a HID kit. They are an open design so potential heat damage is minimal as kit bulbs run much hotter than OEM bulbs. Also it's safe for oncoming traffic as it's a projector system. I would still go OEM wherever possible for reliability. When you intall a kit I would make sure to make your own harness with a relay on both lights. Don't want a single point of failure to take out both headlights. If anything fails it's likely going to be the relay or the ballast.
