  2. I've got a 2013 Titanium on order so I'm hoping mine doesn't have this new exhaust setup. It sounds ugly. Build date is week of May 20 so we will see in about 6 weeks what I get.
  3. From the manual: The message indicator flashes when theft protection is active.
  4. Thanks for the pic! Were you going around the banking at Daytona Speedway to get that sideways?
  5. I've been curious to see what the screen looks like but Google isn't finding anything other than the two-screen variant found on Fusion/Explorer/Edge etc. Anyone here have a pic or even video of this feature in action?
  6. Could you please provide status for a 2013 Escape Titanium 4WD 2.0L? Order number W090. Dealer F24224. Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks for posting the guide! It looks like the sport styled seat in the Titanium is gone? It also looks like the body color liftgate garnish is gone as well. Those were two features of the Titanium that I liked over the SEL.
  8. Hey Ice-capades, any update on the availability of the order guide? Thanks in advance!
  9. Agreed. I'm assuming that they ran out of time/budget to package it correctly on the 2013 so they had to omit the kick feature. I'm hopeful in the last year they've engineered a solution for the next model year. I need the tow package so it sucks to lose a heavily advertised feature (and pay extra for it too...)
  10. There is nothing in particular other than a few refinements I'd like to see (kick feature of tailgate with tow package, two tier armrest console storage, power passenger seat.) I'd LOVE for air conditioned seats to be an option as they would be a blessing here in Florida, but I'm 99% sure thats an option that'll be reserved for the Lincoln so I don't have my hopes up for that. It's just good to know what is new, especially when making such a big purchase!
  11. From what I've gathered, the order bank should be open for 2014 Escapes. Does anyone have a copy of the order guide they are willing to post or some insight on what might have changed from the 2013 model year? Thanks in advance!
  12. Timf, any update if the order guide is available? Can you post it when it is?
  13. I'm getting close to ordering a '13, but since the '14's are right around the corner as timf confirmed, I'm curious to see what changes, if any, there will be. At that point I can either wait for a '14 or take advantage of better incentives on the '13's. I'm not expecting anything except minor changes to colors but theres always the chance they could add new features (adaptive cruise perhaps?) or design tweaks based on the '13 feedback.
  14. Does anyone have insight on when we might see the order guide for the 2014 Escape? I'm seeing some show up for the Mustang and Fiesta so i'd imagine the Escape's would be soon. Thanks in advance!
  15. Even though this isn't a 2013 Escape, its about as close of a comparison that I can find. Looks like it does pretty well! http://youtu.be/DcEQDmdG9iE
  16. +1. Move this to a different part of the forum if it needs to be posted. It has nothing to do with Ford Motor Company and I could care less about reading about drama between people I don't know. I'm here for the cars!
  17. Can you take a few pictures of the Escape with the mud guards installed? I've been curious to see how those look. Thanks for the warranty info.
  18. It appears X-plan pricing on most of the 2013 models is now available on the Ford Partner website for those of you who have access. I've been waiting a while to price up a 2013 Escape. Now the hard part will be figuring out how to afford one!
  19. Awesome victory for Ford right out of the gate! Pretty impressive for a brand new model to win against this kind of competition. http://www.motortren...suv_comparison/
  20. There are 3 speaker configurations: Base: 6 speakers (2 each in front doors, 1 each in rear doors) SEL: 9 speakers (2 each in front doors, 2 each in rear doors, center on dash) Sony: 10 speakers (2 each in front doors, 2 each in rear doors, center on dash, subwoofer)
  21. I'm pretty sure it does not. Ford is counting the subwoofer as the 10th speaker. 2 speakers in each door (mid and tweeter) x4 Center speaker Subwoofer
  22. New review from Motor Trend: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suvs/1205_2013_ford_escape_titanium_test/ They seem to really like it and had very few negatives to speak of.
  23. The complaints from the media in regards to price are completely ridiculous. How can you fault a company for providing options to the consumer? If it were the other way around, they'd all be complaining about how bland the vehicle was and how it didn't have available option x when Honda, Toyota etc did. There is a reason why they are called OPTIONS. If you can't afford them or don't see the value in it, then don't get it. Pretty simple. It's almost like the media wants to stifle innovation or progression in the industry. Ford should be commended for providing so many class leading features on this vehicle. Yes they come with a price, but at least they give the consumer the choice.
  24. Not too informative, but here is an intial review. 0-60 is a little slower than I thought it would be, but their method was hardly accurate so take it with a grain of salt. The real umph of the ecoboost should be at mid RPM around town with that nice torque curve.
