Is anyone having any issues with callers on the other end of a sync call hearing a ton of wind noise? It's not bad on every call, and it only seems to be happening at highway speeds. But it's like when I'm not talking it's picking up all the cabin noise and delivering to the other end. My dealer contact told me to do a little homework on it, testing it with different signal strengths and battery levels just to rule out anything related to that. The cabin is a little louder than other cars I've had, but in the cabin I don't notice it that much. I don't know if it'd be a problem with the mic, or if there's some other reason more outside noise is getting in to the cabin. There's no way to calibrate the mic, is there?

I saw one last week on the back of a transport truck between Columbus and Dayton.

It comes up when you're listening to something off the USB, but I haven't been able to get it from FM or Sirius.

Agreed on how pitifully short the all-weather driver's mat is. I like the others though and I definitely like the anchoring. As an aside, I also wish there was some protection on the upper left side to rest my foot. I'm thinking of attaching something there to protect the carpet.

Could this also have been about the time they were doing 1.6 recall work? Several of our area dealerships had them moved to the back for quite some time before moving them back to their front lots. They serviced already purchased escapes before their dealer stock escapes. It could have been a special order, certainly. It also could have been one that had just come off a truck and was not prepped yet. That salesman might have not been aware that it had arrived.

I believe ours were built the same day, or very close to it. I'd also say that my fit and finish appears to be flawless. The liftgate lines up perfectly. No rattles or loose interior pieces. Stitching on the seats looks great. I could go on.

35 days from order to pickup for me. The salesman was a friend of the family so I was kept in the loop about the order process and the progress throughout. My order was new, not an alteration to something they had already ordered. I know he put the highest priority code in. Perhaps some dealers aren't comfortable using that in all cases?

Receieved "the call" this afternoon about 3:30. Made it to the dealership at 5:30. Left the dealership with my beautiful Ginger Ale Titanium at about 8:00pm. Ford's ETA's were just about right on for me. Was quite a thrill to drive it home, though I wish that most of my drive wasn't in the dark so I could spend more time admiring it. I'll post some pics once I have a chance to take some.

My impression was that the rear sensors only go off when in reverse.

Still on track to be delivered the week of 8/20. Got my VIN today and was able to pull up the pdf of my sticker. Build date scheduled for 08/09/2012. Finally starting to feel real...

Ordered mine on July 18th and got an August 20th ETA as well. I thought for sure my dealer was being overly optimistic. Perhaps not.
