Hard to believe that Ford would compromise safety and quality in a new re-tooled plant. There has to be oversight built into the manfu. process.....

new Forester definitely boxier look like your '10 Escape

Love the new look of the fusion, but had to order something now and escape fits my needs , cargo room, trailer hitch, etc.. Comparing the two, kinda like apples and oranges, I think it much more an individual pref. Easier to compare SUV vs. SUV, sedan vs sedan.

saw the first one on highway today and looks much better in person than online/brochure photos.

mine was ordered in mid-April, just received confirmation that it was shipped from Ford on 6/27 and en-route to dealer.... was told it should be another 10 to 21 days... hopefully it will be here earlier and there is some padding in the arrival to dealer estimate

Huge thanks to all for the info provided on this discussion. After visiting several dealerships with little info provided by them, I've been able to make an educated decision from the info shared here. I've made my decision on going with the SEL, now torn between Tux Black / with Stone Leather or Ingot Silver with Black Leather. My first and second color choices of Plat.White and Ruby Red are not available since I'm ordering as a "fleet" vehicle and both are "upgrade paint" choices. Will be ordering this week, and I will attempt to provide any updates throughout the waiting game.
