Just dreamt that I got the car of my youth back, an extremely used red Pontiac Catalina that I drove in the late 70's!

I looked long and hard before I settled on the 13 fusion hybrid. It was for looks, gadgets, mpg and luxury. I looked at many other cars and wasn't very interested in anything else. I will be at a loss to choose if I have to give up on this car.

I just rewatched the consumer reports video. They said most cars they tested come in a couple miles below EPA combined and easily beat the EPA highway numers. The fusion and cmax were the largest discrepancy they have seen. They didn't mention all those other cars except the Camry, which they said even the fusions lower number beat by 1 mpg.

Didn't CR say that all others cars they tested came out close to the EPA numbers, which is why it was so strange that the FFH came out so far off from the EPA numbers?

I got discount on my original ffh order from may, built 10/8, now in tbd hell. I'm on my second order started 11/15, due for build 12/17. Who knows what if any discounts ill get now. Hope they at least make a token discount to account for the delays.

Won't the rear window defogger take care of this?

Is it the tech package that brings wifi connections to the fusion? Can you upgrade using the wifi connection?

I live in pa an we have lots of hills. I'm guessing that will affect mpg. How is the terrain where you guys are driving? My current 12 year old Monte Carlo got 26 mpg in its early lifetime. It's now reporting 24. I'm hoping to hit at least 40 if my FFH ever gets here, or why did I pay the premium for it.

There's only a few reasons a perfectly good feature like app link would be withheld. Either it's buggy and causes performance/stability issues, or it's an ill conceived financial deal to try to force one to use only the manufacturer's feature set. I'm a software developer professionally and I've been forced to use windows tools for most of my career when a Mac would have been preferable. I hate not being given the choice. As long as the audio goes through, I can still use an app like pandora from my iPhone. I might have to control it from the phone though. I wish ford offered a choice of other systems such as MyLink or even better, Apple's Siri integration and or airplay. Choice is good.

What is the scout app? Do you mean there is a way to display the iPhone's screen on the fusion's touchscreen like AirPlay? I got the navigation system in my fusion simply to have the larger screen for maps. I'd probably dump my ford sync and built in navigation in a heartbeat for the tomtom or apple maps which I already have, if I could scale up and display the iPhone to the built in screen. If someone made an iPad quality screen that retained the other fusion functions like backup camera and climate control and such I'd swap out and upgrade in a heartbeat.

What's the deal with no daytime running lights? I asked about that when I ordered and was surprised to hear that they would not be available. Does it burn to much electricity?

Dealer emailed me on wed to call and suggested I reorder, gave me a build date by sat. I didn't bother to ask for the vin because I didn't want to obsess over this for another month. I'll be pleasantly surprised if I see this car before years end with a 12/17 build date.

My new build week is now 12/17.

He didn't give an eta or promise anything but hoped it would be before years end. But we also talked about it usually taking at least 3 weeks to ship. There aren't much more than that left in the year.

Just yesterday. I sent my loan check back today. Have to do it all over again. I have no problems with this. Just hoping my old one holds out without costing me more in repairs.

Is this one on the sheet? 3FA6P0LU3DR144562 It shows special order on the sticker. I'm no longer getting that at dealers suggestion, and having a re-order put in, waiting for the new vin.

The dealer never said. Last status before he told me it was held for QA was eta 11/5. I haven't tried any of the methods folks have used to get further status other than to get my window sticker.

I'm getting the works on my FFH, including the remote start. I'm looking forward to using it at work on cold winter days and having the cabin temp automatically reach a comfortable point by the time I make the long walk out to the lot from my desk. I wonder if it will heat up and then shut off the engine? Probably will stay on the whole time to maintain the temp.

I ordered my FFH SE on may 17, got my vin at end sept, saw my sticker appear online early oct with an apparent build week of 10/08. Dealer gave an eta of mid nov. now with the QA hold I've been told, not arriving anytime soon and was offered to reorder with an expedite status. So I'm sending the loan check back and doing the reorder. This wait is really hard and I'm exhausting myself. Time to quit caring, and just be happy if I see a new car before the end of the year.

I'm replacing my 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS after 150,000 miles and too many repairs, if I can ever get a FFH SE to come in.

Below is my dealer's response after checking on my hybrid se order. From what I'm reading, I'm glad they are taking the time for quality repairs. Just hope my old car holds out. Not good news your Fusion is part of the quality inspection. I will keep you posted as to the status . I considered this, but with the shape my current 12 year old car is in, I don't dare delay. ETA for my loaded SE Hybrid is in about 9 days.
