Look how long it took car companies to add technology to their cars... The majority of people go to a dealership and pick a car in the lot. If it's not available in the lot the dealer can usually locate the exact model/colour at another dealer. Fewer people order cars like the way we did. My guess is that car companies try to avoid customers purchasing straight from the factory due to the reasons that seem to pop up on these forums.

The MFT system in the Focus is Gen1. The MFT in the Fusion is Gen2 so I'm sure the internals have been updated with a faster SOC and more memory. I would not worry about performance of the MFT system in the Fusion. The only thing I'm pretty sure most people won't use is the climate control in MFT, but everything else you will use.

That's kinda strange that it's not showing up. I guess it hasn't been generated yet. If the internal system that cyberdman has access to shows a build date of week of Oct 15, then I wouldn't worry too much. All I can say is try again each day.

I remember someone posting on these forums that the stock system was actually pretty good. I also saw a Youtube video and they tested the sound system too. They said that there was plenty of base with the stock 6 speaker system.

FYI, by the looks of it on the ETIS system it was built August 23rd. Cyberdman will have more information regarding location etc for you.

http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/packages/ Looking over these packages, it's still difficult to see what exactly is free for a period of time or what needs a subscription right away. From the looks of it all new Fords with Sync get 3 years free of the Sync Services feature. If you have the Maps addon feature you will not be using the Sync features which A) Could be faster to load up a destination and B) doesn't need a phone connection. I will be a new Ford owner (once my Fusion arrives) so I'm not entirely sure, so hopefully a current owner with the Sync feature can clear this up.

hmm... Now I'm confused. I will look into it and let you know what I find.

Don't forget this is a subscription service ($60/year). The Navigation add-on gives you graphical maps, POI and turn by turn direction, plus 3 years free of Sync.

I didn't think there was such a thing either. I always knew you could make a "Factory Order" but found it strange that my winder sticker had Special Order on it. I have looked at other soon to be owners window stickers (when available) from this site and they all seem to be regular window stickers. Perhaps I'm special? LOL j/k Anyways, I just found it strange. It does however have priority 9-Normal listed at the top and from what I remember that states "Customer Ordered", correct?

I was looking at the one that my dealer had on his desk when I ordered my car back in August. It was the same white one. Perhaps that's the only colour these "toy's" come in? LOL BTW, it was sealed in the plastic case so you couldn't actually play with the car...

I suggest you drive to your local Ford dealer and see how the colours look on the new Escape or any other car (Taurus?) and see it in person.

I've never seen this before on any of the other window stickers I have seen. Maybe they don't intend to make many fully loaded Hybrids...? As of my last update my build was scheduled for next week.

Are you referring to the Diagnostics settings of MFT? If so, I remember seeing a YouTube video of the procedure on a Focus.

They do on the Ford.com site. I have seen it a couple of times. I think it's located in the Specs section

I was also in the same boat as you trying to decide which colour to choose (Ruby Red or White Platinum). I ended up going with the the Ruby Red because that was the colour of the Fusion I saw in person. The colour is absolutely gorgeous. It just sparkles in the sun light. I saw the White Platinum on an Edge at the dealership and was impressed as well. I ultimately went with the Ruby Red and haven't regretted it once. I just can't wait to be driving in it shortly!
