  1. I had this fix done on my 2013 and I didn't smell anything from the A/C again. So the repair worked for me.
  2. I had the "E" from the SE on the back on my car fall off when washing it. I decided to remove the "S" as well. Now on the back it says Fusion on the left and Hybrid on the right. The only problem now is that Fusion and Hybrid are now aligned. I think I might take Fusion off in the future and leave Hybrid.
  3. I have a Hybrid and when I go to Syncmyride it's showing as available. It doesn't look like I need a new NAV SD Card for this update either. I will update tonight during my drive home and report back tomorrow.
  4. This is extremely interesting. I'm interested to see how it will effect my MPG since I'm in the 45-47 MPG range already.
  5. If anyone is interested in getting a phone mount for their car here's a new promo code (save 10%) that's good until Sunday at midnight Enter AC Code: 05MOM13 at checkout. Valid NOW through midnight Sunday, May 12, 2013
  6. I have never experienced this. I think everything looks centered in my car.
  7. My car found my home in 2 days. But it took about 2 months to find my work. So far it has only found my home and work even though I visit 2 other places very frequently throughout the week.
  8. Wow my car was assemble one day before this recall. Crazy stuff!
  9. Well I can assure you that the car can achieve the numbers. Here's some pics from my car. Pictures will speak a thousand words. This pic is a shot of my current tank of gas. Note that I still have a 1/4 tank remaining. Here's the conversion from L/100km to MPG 5.0L/100km = 47.04 MPG US This was my drive to work this morning. 4.2L/100km = 56 MPG US It's achievable and once you learn how, it's really easy!
  10. It is good to see some new features being added to the Hybrids. But to be honest, these all seem to be separate additions which means more a more expensive car. It will be interesting to see what they cancel or change before production starts.
  11. It seems to repel dust away nicely.
  12. None, I have the 18" wheels on mine and I am at a lifetime at 5.7L/100km (41.2MPG). It has been dropping (or increasing if your using MPG) almost daily. I consistently get anywhere between 4.7L/100km (50MPG) and 5.1L/100km (46MPG) on my 60KM drive to work and 60KM drive home. Usually my drive home is in the 5 - 5.1L/100km mark (46-47MPH) on my way home because there's more uphill driving. It's a slight elevation most of the way home and that shows with my commute both ways. Going to work always shows better MPG. The warmer temps are definitely a factor. Back in Feb and early Mar I was getting between 5.5L/100km (42.7MPG) and 6.2L/100km (37.9MPG). Granted this was when I first got the car and was still learning how to drive it. One thing I have noticed, is that I get much better fuel economy not using Eco-cruise or regular cruise. When I control the gas pedal I get the best results. Usually lifting the pedal ever-so-slightly on the highway makes a world of difference. The car does great when cruising. Also I never go by the instant L/100km or MPG gauge as I don't find it accurate especially when accelerating.
  13. I don't have the heated mirror icon, but do have the BLIS icon. The border is for the auto-dimming mirror. You can really notice it in the night time. Not so much during the day.
  14. The video won't work unless you are in Park. However, the audio ports (Red and White) will work no matter what gear you are in. Anyways, some food for thought.
  15. I cleaned the inside of my car yesterday and looked at the headliner in great detail and I am happy to say that it looks (and feels) perfect. I will be going to the dealer soon to have my gear shifter knob replaced and wanted to check it out before hand in case it needed to be replaced too.
  16. This is too funny. This afternoon my cell phone rang and it was my dealer. Asking me when I can bring the car in to have the gear shifter replaced (to a leather one). I never called them or contacted them about it... yet! Did dealers get this notification too? I was surprised to receive the call. I will be taking it in a few days (most likely next weekend) my schedule is too busy right now to worry about it. Has anybody else's dealerships call them out of the blue?
  17. Interesting. I did the same thing and it's showing in ETIS now too. At least I won't have to argue with the dealer when I go in to the service department.
  18. It definitely won't detect a curb if it will scrap the bottom of the bumper. I would think that it needs to be at least 10 inches off the ground (maybe even more). It does work well when pulling into my garage when trying to determine the distance in front of me.
  19. I have the park assist with the front sensors. It doesn't not detect curbs unless they are high enough. Sometimes when I'm stopped at a light and a pedestrian crosses the road in front of me the senors start to go off. It is a nice feature when parking and you don't want to hit the car parked in front of you.
  20. I have not had to worry about changing a flat tire in the past 17 years on driving. Beside, you get road side assistance so you can have a tow truck take you to the nearest tire repair shop if you don't want to use the mobility kit. If it really bothers you, buy a spare tire and put it in the trunk (without the foam insert). This is such a minor issue and something IMO shouldn't make anyone nervous in buying these cars.
  21. I know for a fact it does. I have been in the parking garage at work and it uses the last known location to start plotting a route. Works well and then once it gets a signal it will recalculate your route. I have not had any problems with my GPS picking up a signal within 30 secs.
  22. Can I get an update please? 2013 Fusion - VIN 3FA6P0LU8DR264762 Thanks,
  23. I have not had any issues with the touch sensitivity, I used the sunroof a lot over the weekend and it worked perfectly every time.
