  4. Just a word of warning to anybody buying one of those Iottie cell mounts linked earlier in this thread...I got one for Christmas and put it on my car. After about 10 days I realized that I didn't really need it and removed it but it left a circle shaped dent in my dashboard which I have not been able to make go away. I've been trying to slowly massage it out for the last month but no luck so far.
  5. I filled mine up yesterday when it told me I was at 5 miles until empty and I put in 10.5 gallons. It's supposed to be a 12.5 gallon tank so it looks like there is either a 2 gallon reserve or the tank doesn't fill up all the way before the gas hose shuts off.
  6. I got some of the Husky all weather mats but I'm in Texas and decided I wouldn't use them much. I picked up some Lloyd Luxe mats for the front seats. You can get them at a variety of sites for what seems to be the same price. The Luxe are the most expensive but they have other options. The material is nice; they are a much thicker and softer carpet than the standard floor mats which came with the car. The drivers side mats snap down onto the attachment points. But I was hoping they would be bigger. They are the exact same size and shape as the standard mats that come with the car. I also picked up a Lloyd rubber cargo mat for the fusion hybrid. It's nice but it's also a bit heavy.
  7. Status update please? VIN# 3LN6L2LU7DR821612
  8. They aren't going to offer big discounts on the 13s until they have problems selling them and right now they sell as soon as they hit the lot.
  9. I remember my dealer showing me a sample survey. He went on and on about how any mark not in the highest category is considered a failure by Ford and if I'm not happy with something I should let them know so they can make it right. Begging for a good score on a customer service survey is pathetic and defeats the purpose of the survey. Just give good service and everything else will work out right.
  10. There are a few tint products which can be used on the entire windshield and are technically legal because the total amount of light still gets through. The laws are still being adjusted on this and I recommend you to do some research. 3M crystalline 90 and Llumar Air blue 80 are the two products I see most often being used on entire windshields. They are both fairly pricey. Supposedly you can't even really tell they are tinted by looking at them and they still let through over 70% of light on a meter test. I would recommend checking your state and talking to some local tint shops about what is legal.
  11. I have the same experience. I found the controls, adjusted them to the maximum and thought for a while that I must not have the lighting. I had to turn off all other lighting and be in a very dark environment to tell that I even had them. When I originally switched to the titanium I thought the ambient lighting would be such a cool conversation piece as people would be like "woah, the lights in here were blue and now they're red!" Turns out nobody will ever even notice it. I can barely tell and I know they are there.
  12. I went to Sunray Customs in Keller, TX. It was $375 to do the Huper Optik on all front and rear side windows and the back. They do a good job, very professional.
  13. Ok, good point. What I really would like to know is how much of a difference larger wheels make
  14. I can be driving down a gentle slope at 62mph and the EV kicks in. I can be driving down a steep slope at 63mph and take my foot off the gas and the EV won't kick in. That tells me it is programmed to stop at 62mph. I don't really have a problem with that but it seems like they could remove that. I should be able to roll downhill in EV mode at any speed if the hill is steep enough.
  15. I'm a little disappointed to. My hyti is averaging about 39 mpg over the first 800 miles. Also realize that I drive it very efficiently to the point where people are passing me all the time. I agree with the OP that on freeway you don't get over 40mpg unless you are coasting or going downhill, even at speeds below 60mph. So I'm not sure how Ford ever thought a 47mpg highway was possible. 47 should be what you get driving conservatively with more than 47 possible if you are driving it the way....I do. It's also interesting to me that all Fusion hybrids are listed at 47mpg. I wonder how much of a difference there is between a stripped down hybrid SE and a loaded hybrid titanium in mpg.
  16. Looks like my parent's MKZ Hybrid order got messed up and they had to reorder. Could you please check status? Dealer: 67L013 Order# 0006 Thank you
  17. I just had my car tinted with Huper Optik ceramic tint and I like it. This tint actually blocks more heat but let's in more visible light so it isn't as dark as some other tints. I also talked to them about doing the windshield. Apparently 3M crystalline 90 is legal on the windshield. They said they also do a lot of 3M crystalline 70 which is illegal because it blocks too much light. They said though that because it is essentially clear that it is hard to tell it is even tinted and cops usually don't mess with it. They said its usually only a problem if they check it with a meter in vehicle inspections.
  18. Could I get an update please with a railcar number if you have one. Thanks! VIN# 3LN6L2LU2DR815863
  19. My car had an original ETA of 4/6 and then 4/4 and is here now. Basically it was 13 days from build date to dealership so I'm happy with that.
  20. I just got a call from my dealer. My car arrived at the dealership late last night! Looks like I'm headed to the dealer after work. Woohoo!
  21. Interesting that yours looks like it came straight from Mexico up to Dallas through Texas. Mine has been through Arizona and is currently in New Mexico.
  22. I've been impatiently waiting all week until Wednesday so I could ask for my weekly update from cyberdman so that I could track my rail car like others have been doing and this morning he posts: "In Transit - Passing (Union Pacific Railroad ) Lordsburg, NM Mar-26-2013, 20:05 MT. ETA Apr-04-2013." Arrggghh! How do you guys get the railcar info?
  23. Update please? VIN# 3FA6P0RU4DR278648 Thank you.
  24. According to my dealer, my car is somewhere in Arizona now. I will check with cyberdman tomorrow.
  25. I've tracked 3 cars now and have never had a problem with cyberdman. I include the info he needs, and add a please and thank you. If you are unscheduled you have to wait 2 weeks. If you have a date you have to wait until after that date. Otherwise you have to wait a week. It's not complicated if you take a few minutes to read the rules. He's volunteering his time to help us. If my dealer (who I have already given $1k) actually worked half as hard as cyberdman to track my vehicle, I would be happy.
