  1. Darn, if this is true (and compatible with the Hybrid models), I missed out by less than a week
  2. I thought that without the MFT, you get 1 USB port instead of 2? I could be wrong of course.
  3. Starting to think my mileage for my first tank was closer to what the trip computer said (34.2) or even a little lower, since i think the gas gauge is inaccurate or the gas tank will not allow the tank to get full. I am at exactly 1/2 tank according to the gauge and the trip computer says i have burned about a little over 4 gallons. I know the tank is 13.5 gallons so you would think at half tank it would be around 6.5 gallons used when the gauge reads half I have read a couple posts about issues with the tanks on the gas models, but heard nothing so far on the hybrid models. Has anyone heard of issues?
  4. I have noticed that the arrow shows up (or charging) when letting off the gas coasting down a hill in EV mode. Not sure if it does it all the time, but it does happen.
  5. Thanks for posting that video. He pretty much echos my impressions of the car so far. I have had to adapt my driving style to get the mileage I did, but for the most part, it hasn't been a chore to drive this way. I am pretty certain I have made the right choice
  6. Yep, i am pretty happy . So far on this tank, I went out to dinner and shopping with mom for about 50 miles amd am averaging 39 or so. I'll try to keep this thread updated, and post more info about the gas gauge and if the tank is truely being filled all the way each time or is the pump shutting off early. I have my fuelly.com page linked in my signature too.
  7. To be honest I haven't had a lot of flat roads for a prolonged distance to test that out, but i have noticed that it does seem to "drag" a bit and slow down if I let it coast. It might have something to do with the 18" goodyears not being LRR tires.
  8. Just filled up my Hybrid for the first time tonight. The auto shutoff at the pump turned off at 9.999 gallons and I went 367.6 miles, so that's 36.8 mpg (easy math lol). It looks like it did fill up the tank too since when I got back in, the fuel gauge showed slightly above the Full line and dropped to exactly the full line as I drove a mile or two down the road. A couple observations: The car trip computer said I used around 10.7 gallons ( I saw it was around 10.5 on my way home from work but didn't record the exact number), for an avg mpg of 34.2 (what it was before I reset the trip computer). Usually mpg calculators in cars overestimate the actual value, but this one seems to underestimate so far. I'll see if that continues. I know there have been discussions about the tank making the pumps shut off before the tank is actually full. For the first tank, and the fact that weather conditions haven't been optimal for getting higher mpg (there were 2-3 days of snow and wet roads), I am fairly happy with the results so far. I have adapted my driving style to be more conservative. For the most part, it hasn't been a chore to drive more conservatively. Staying between 55 and 65 on the highway with occasional speeds toward 70, has been a bit more of a sacrifice, as I am used to being around 70 all the time.
  9. I have the 18" appearance package wheels. It probably helps the car was pretty much warmed up, but i was pleasantly surprised with the mpg when i turned off the car at work.
  10. Here is the results from my first commute to work this morning since I got the car last Saturday. 18.6 total miles, 11.1 ev miles, 0.8 regen miles, 44.3 mpg. The caveat is that i did take a 12 mile trip before work to the store, and stopped home for 10 minutes before going to work. There are quite a few hills on my commute. Roads were wet and some parts slushy. Temp around 32 with a breeze. Pretty satisfied given the temps, road conditions and low miles of the car.
  11. I have had my Hybrid for almost a week now and have 250 miles or so on it. My lifetime average is 33.2 right now (had 7 miles at delivery and no reset), but 3 of the days I have been driving in snowy, slushy, and wet conditions, so that isn't the best conditions for mileage right now. For the most part I have driven more conservatively to try to get better gas mileage, but in some ways it "feels" like I am driving slower since the car is just so quiet and smooth, but I am going near the speed limit or over without me knowing it. I go 45 and it feels like 25-30, especially in EV mode. On the 2-3 good weather days, I have taken some shorter trips (less than 10 miles), and got 64, 46, and 54 mpg. Mostly lower speeds with some slight to moderate hills thrown in. I have the 18" Goodyears, so they probably won't maximize the mileage, but I knew that going in. I wish I was getting upper 30's at least, but with the conditions, and it being so new, I will hold out judgement on being disappointed etc for 2-3 more tanks. I understand and went through your debate between gas and Hybrid. When I was doing my Hybrid vs gas $$$ comparison, I used 42 mpg combined for the Hybrid, and 28 mpg combined for the 1.6 gas, and if I can get 42 once the weather is better, I will be quite happy. I am actually enjoying the CVT transmission too. It is nice not to feel shifts anymore, and have the instant response for acceleration. As nmadole said, the Thanks for Driving a Hybrid! message each time you turn the car off is cool too LOL. Seriously though, you can't make a bad decision with either one. Now the recall on the 1.6 might make me hesitate slightly, but it looks like they figured out the issue(hopefully). Good luck!
  12. Merry White Christmas from "Ruby" to all Fusion owners, soon to be owners, and fans Drove in the snow last night on snow covered roads, and it was very stable. It got 38 mpg on my trip 25 mile trip back from my partner's parents house. I noticed this morning the rear wheel wells really collect the snow (but not the fronts), so I had to clear it out.Ok, supposed to be a picture here but it doesn't seem to be working...ughhhh oh well.
  13. Hmmm. Starting to wonder if it's a Hybrid thing then. Thanks everyone.
  14. I picked up my Hybrid yesterday afternoon, and have really enjoyed it so far, but one of the things I have wondered is, for some reason their is no "Climate" section on the right hand side of the instrument cluster, just Entertainment, Phone, and Efficiency Leaves. The owners manual says there should be Climate on that screen. Maybe it went away with the newest MFT update (I have the newest update since I have the Hybrid power routing screen), or it doesn't come on Hybrids? Doesn't seem to make sense but you never know. Do other SE Hybrid or gas SE owners have Climate on their instrument cluster? Might have to call my dealer if it should be there.
  15. Thanks missileman88. I like it a lot so far. The ride, handling and low noise levels are very impressive. The hybrid gas engine is not too loud even under hard acceleration (only done a couple times in the 60 or so miles I have driven it). Loving the features of the MyFordTouch system. No issues so far with delayed response and I have kept the response tone on when hitting the screen to help confirm choices. The backup camera is really nice and has helped me park better too. The dealer set me up for the Sync Services, and I am getting a kick out of the text to speech for text messaging (in the few texts I have received). Only thing I am not so thrilled about is it seems at very low speeds like parking lots, the transition from gas to EV,mode when slowing down to a stop has been sort of abrupt a few times. Hopefully it will iron itself out as a few more miles are put on. I love walking up to it and seeing the Ruby Red paint shine. One other "issue" I am having is that for some reason their is no "Climate" section on the right hand side of the instrument cluster, just Entertainment Phone, and Efficiency Leaves. The owners manual says there should be Climate on that screen. Maybe it went away with the newest MFT update or doesn't come on Hybrids? Doesn't seem to make sense though. Might call my dealer again if others have it.
  16. A few quick pics of my Hybrid. Love it so far. Trying to get used to things but so far so good.
  17. Well, I am going to be officially a Hybrid owner as of tomorrow. I decided to go with my original SE Hybrid order. It was a really tough decision, and with the way work has been (long hours, lots of stress etc.), I thought it was a reward for myself. I got really lucky since I ordered it in late October and it took less than 8 weeks to arrive. When my salesman called yesterday, I thought it was about my Titanium order, but he wanted to give me a chance to purchase the SE hybrid before they put it out for sale. I was never expecting it before the New Year, especially with all the issues everyone else has had. Between the points about my work, and the $2200 savings (and I gave up the moonroof, plus I mostly likely would have had to spend moeny for new 18" rims since I was pretty bleh about the stock Titanium one) vs the Titanium, I decided I could live without the extra stuff, and use that for other things. Maybe a nice trip somewhere. My partner and I had a long discussion at the dealership when I went to see it yesterday, and i was quite torn. I couldn't get to sleep until 1 am thinking about it, and woke back up at 3:30, and never got back to sleep. I am paying for it now with the lack of sleep, shopping, and cleaning out the car LOL. I hope to have pictures up before Christmas. I know some people may say I made a mistake not waiting for the titanium (and my mom even thought I should wait, more because of winter weather though), but I have the essential goodness of the Hybrid, plus with the Appearance and MyFordTouch technology package, I have some nice features I can enjoy looking at and using. I almost want to buy a big bow and put it on the car tomorrow LOL.
  18. Omg, it was tempting to take the se hybrid i ordered. Looked amazing with the appearance package wheels. My partner sort brought me back to reality that i would regret the features i would give up especially the push button: start and easy access . So hard to walk away and let them put it up for sale.
  19. Just got a call from my salesman that my original SE hybrid order from.late october came in today. Going to go look at it soon. Might be temptation but i am pretty sure ill stick with my titanium order lol.
  20. Yes, they do Before I changed to the Titanium Hybrid, I had ordered an SE Hybrid with Appearance and Tech packages. I really wish these rims were optional on the Titanium at least.
  21. I was just about to post this same thing...ironic more than interesting really Booo Ford on that decision.
  22. Hi cyberdman, Can you provide info on my order for a Fusion Hybrid Titanium? I know they aren't being built yet, but I want to make sure the order is in the system. Thanks again! Order number: 1109 Dealer number: F16513
  23. The ability to view wheels on the Fusion is now available on TireRack! http://www.tirerack....odClar=Titanium
