  1. I've had my car almost four weeks now and got a call earlier in the week to pick up my license plates. Went to get them yesterday and saw a car that appeared to be exactly like mine and it was -- it was my TBD! I tracked that VIN so many times I'll probably never forget it. I knew it had been shipped, but didn't know the ETA. It was cleaned up and looked like it might be ready for delivery. Glad it finally arrived after ordering it 8/31.
  2. Got home from work today and noticed a box at the front door. I knew I hadn't ordered anything, so I didn't know what it could be -- it was from Ford Motor Company! The box contained eight assorted Fusion & Ford Motor Company t-shirts & polo shirts, two coozies, a water bottle, a USB charger, a small white Fusion (like mine!) and a very nice letter from the Sales Zone Manager thanking me for choosing Ford and for my patience in waiting for delivery of my new Fusion Titanium while quality control issues were being resolved. It was kind of like Christmas opening a box with endless goodies in it. Nice touch, Ford -- and much appreciated!
  3. My TBD is expected to arrive at the dealership this Friday. Hope it finds a good home. I'm very happy with my re-order that I picked up last Monday.
  4. Yes, still tracking the original order. It shipped 12/28 and has an ETA in Houston of 1/15, next Tuesday. Hope yours is on its way to you.
  5. It was so worth the 4-month, 7-day wait. Played around with MFT/Sync for a few minutes and everything's now set the way I want. Garage door opener is programmed, custom floor mats I ordered are in, and windows will be tinted Wednesday or Thursday. I'm looking forward to driving to work tomorrow!!
  6. IT S FINALLY HERE!!! Just a quick stop at home, then I'm on my to pick up my new White Platinum Fusion Titanium. So excited!
  7. Don't cancel your original order unless you really want a different interior. Just have your dealer re-order another vehicle for you with the dune interior -- that way if your original order arrives first, you'll get your car sooner, assuming that's the car you want. Even though my re-order is now in town and the other is in a neighboring state, my dealer is still tracking both cars for me and I've known all along that the one to arrive first is mine and the other goes into new dealer inventory. Good luck!
  8. My re-order is in town! It should leave the rail yard tomorrow, then head for the dealership. If I'm really lucky, I'll have the car tomorrow night, but Friday is more realistic. Also heard that my original order is now in Tulsa with an ETA of January 15.
  9. Of course the TBDs are being released! My re-order appears to be at the rail yard on the east side of town and should be at the dealer's any day now. I kidded around saying the two cars would probably travel to Houston together. Now it looks as thought the original might show up a week or so after the re-order.
  10. My dealer has been extremely helpful in keeping me informed of VINs, build dates, shipping (or TBD status), etc. If he's not available, he has very reliable assistant that I can contact. I think they want this car delivered almost as much as I do. I heard Wednesday that my re-order had shipped and was on a rail car in New Mexico. The last checkpoint was the great metropolis of Alfalfa, Texas. Alfalfa is just east of El Paso, so it's still got a long way to go to get to Houston, but it's heading in the right direction.
  11. It's a priority 9 (Normal). I was told they were pushing to get as many as possible out last week before the plant shuts down for the holidays this week. I was really skeptical that it would happen, but I got lucky. I think it shipped Saturday, 12/22, after being built Wednesday, 12/19.
  12. Thanks! I'm hoping to get it sooner, too, and I'm really encouraged by how quickly you received yours. If the car was in New Mexico last night, it shouldn't take much longer to get to here, even though it's taking the west-to-east trek (11 hours driving) through Texas to Houston. Believe me, I'm ready for it as soon as it arrives. I cleaned everything out of the old TL in late October when I was first expecting a November 6 delivery on car #1.
  13. It's a Titanium in White Platinum - sunroof w/garage door opener, 19" H-spoke dark aluminum wheels & driver-assist package. I had ordered the premium floormats, but will decline them if I can. I ordered some custom mats from AutoSport that I had seen in a friend's car. They arrived last week and look fabulous!
  14. Just heard from my car dealer and just got a belated Christmas present. My re-order has shipped!! It's in New Mexico with an ETA in Houston of 1/5. The long wait is finally about to come to an end. If I'm this excited now, I can't even imagine how it will feel to pick up that new car and drive away in it.
  15. Heard from my dealer today and my re-ordered car so off the production line awaiting shipment. That means it's right on schedule since the build date was yesterday. Said it should ship before Christmas -- sure hope it does!
  16. Just heard today that my reorder is in production! Now I just hope it ships before the holiday shutdown at the Hermosillo plant.
  17. I'll stick with Acura. I've been driving Honda products for 25 years and have never had a problem. Just turned 100,000 miles on the old TL a week ago and the engine still hums. I've been checking out used 2012 TLs with the Technology package and the prices are coming down. I'll give the Titanium another month to be delivered, then may move on to another TL.
  18. I'm half convinced they'll both show up on te same truck.
  19. This won't be of much help. My special order was built 10/23 and it's still at the plant awaiting shipment. The car has been reordered (another special order) and has a 12/10 build date. I hope to have better luck with the second special order.
  20. Got it by mail about a week and a half ago. It listed cars it could be applied toward, but the Fusion wasn't listed. I kept it anyway and plan to try to use it since there's been such a delay in shipping/delivering the cars built in October. Nothing to lose!
  21. My Fusion Titanium will replace my 2004 Acura TL. Just 90 more miles until the odometer hits 100,000 miles. It's been a great car and has always gotten good gas mileage. I'll miss it, but it's time to replace it. Never thought I'd buy a Ford, but drove an Edge for a week earlier in the year and was very impressed. Even though that wasn't the right vehicle for me, I felt that driving it for 1,400 miles was a good road test, then I saw a commercial for the new Fusion and was hooked. I'm trying to be patient waiting for the Titanium to arrive. It's one of those that was built in October and is still "somewhere" in Hermosillo. We re-ordered 11/15, so something should be arriving within the next couple of weeks -- I hope!
  22. Congratulations! Such a fabulous car! It's appears to be exactly what I've ordered and it's encouraging to see that Titaniums are being delivered. Mine was built 10/23 and originally scheduled for an 11/5 delivery. On11/8 it went back to the plant and that's the last update. Re-ordered 11/15. I bet they arrive on the truck together. Best of look with your new Fusion Titanium!
  23. Mine was scheduled for delivery today (built 10/23; SYNC installed 10/24). I called to check on it and found that it hasn't shipped and that, in order to assure high-quality production, Ford has placed Fusions in three categories: vehicles at the plant in Mexico, vehicles moving from Mexico to Flat Rock and vehicles enroute to dealerships. Since mine is not yet enroute, it must fall into one of the first two categories. Not sure if "vehicles moving from Mexico to Flat Rock" means the actual cars are being shipped to Flat Rock to fine-tune quality issues or if "orders" are being moved to Flat Rock, which makes more sense. I'll check into this. The bottom line is that all cars are expected to be enroute by late December. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I tell myself it will be worth the wait. Maybe a similar car will arrive in general dealer stock that I will like, but I'm picky and ordered exactly what I want, so I'll probably wait for it to arrive.
  24. Ordered a Titanium August 30. Got my VIN 10/12 and window sticker 10/15, a couple of weeks after going through the verification process. Dealership said Tuesday, 10/30, that the car was built the week of 10/15, but hasn't yet shipped because it's awaiting a part, but still shows a delivery date of 11/5. Unless the part was there Tuesday and it shipped immediately, I don't think it will be delivered Monday. I've heard Titaniums are awaiting a piece of trim of some type. Have any of you heard of this?
